Jamie, thanks for keeping up on all the content changes and game fixes Intrepid is providing us. I know doing this content can be taxing while trying to enjoy Alpha 2 as well. for the question at the end of the video; I would say biggest issue i ran into was how does the novice/journeyman/etc progression work and how to advance it is not clear (heck i still dont know how you would advance a gathering profession since the npc's only had processing+crafting) because the UI doesnt really tell you anything about them + lack of specific novice resources so i didnt think copper existed for like 10hrs of gameplay lol also the UI doesnt mention the fact that long term you cant level everything on one character but i know about that at least p:
Yeah me... that's me... thank god for mouse axis flip. Should make things for me so much better. I felt like I couldn't truly get into playing. I did adjust slightly over the weekend, but it was like walking around with 2 left shoes on.
I hate the fact they completely scratched UI from alpha 1 which was absolutely amazing, now everything looks like a placeholder. Also the NPCs are randomly generated, they can have pink or blue hair which, not only it looks horrible, but doesn't fit in a game like ashes. Even the main quest npc givers are AI generated, compared to A1 which I believe had some unique looking NPCs They could have at least gave us a somewhat playable starter zone and some kind of introduction to the game Most of all I hate the forced TAA graphic settings which makes everything look blurry, but its a core engine feature so I dont have a clue how or if they are gonna adress that I do enjoy the combat though, but that's pretty much it considering it's only the 1st phase of A2 I would say A1 was more enjoyable to play and A2 in some ways feels like a downgrade, but I guess we have to wait until phase 2 or 3 to see a game in a more playable state
I heard that the gear enhancement system is similar to Lineage 2 where your gear can break. This should be completely removed we are not playing a P2W Korean game. Make it super hard and long to upgrade, but remove the RNG and the possibility of breaking and losing that item.
I completely agree. I've never liked the idea of working on an item only to have it break, which causes me to start over. If the mats need to be hard to find to craft it then sure.
@@joshabernathy972 is not about solo pve...I dislike mmorpg that don't force players to group up but mindless mob grinding over and over again? How is that fun? How is that even immersive? Better have group content of various design and content for solo players when you cant find a group...what will happen with new players after the initial wave moves and and here is you alone in the staring zone...

@@brimstonevalar6053 I highly doubt it will stay this way when the game is completed. Right now it's the best way to lvl, but when they release the game it'll probably be more like archeage which you can do a few different things to lvl. It would be odd if they just kept it to where people had to group up to lvl. I do want to add that I actually do like the idea of elite monsters actually being hard and requiring a group for is nice.
