Star Wars Jedi Survivor NPC Wars Episode 11 DT Sentry Droid VS IG-100 Magna Guard Battle NPC VS NPC Battles 4K ULTRA. NPC Fights Droids Battle. This Star Wars NPC Wars series shows various NPCs from Star Wars fighting each other.
The DT-series sentry droid, also known simply as the Imperial sentry droid, was a line of sentry droids manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata and utilized by the Galactic Empire. Imperial sentry droids were used as guards and combat training units, with one specific training model being stationed in Tipoca City on the extragalactic Kamino after the Clone Wars. Many of the droids were stationed aboard Imperial starships such as Class four container transports and Imperial Star Destroyers.
IG-100 MagnaGuards, or Magna Guard, also known as the Prototype Self-Motivating Heuristically Programmed Combat Droid,[13] were fearsome bodyguard droids and a type of battle droid created by Holowan Mechanicals.[1] They were a favorite of General Grievous, who used them as his bodyguards during the Clone Wars, though they were also known to accompany other high-ranking Separatist personnel including Count Dooku. MagnaGuards were equipped with electrostaffs that could be used against Jedi lightsabers and were capable of continuing a fight even with the loss of one or multiple limbs or even their heads. They were worthy competitors even to the most skilled Jedi; one was even able to back Obi-Wan Kenobi into a corner. While formidable opponents in close quarters, they were also capable of piloting Rogue-class Porax-38 starfighters and using blasters and RPS-6 rocket launchers and were often seen wearing cloaks.[5] MagnaGuards usually fought in pairs of two, one to occupy the Jedi's lightsaber and one to attack from the unguarded flanks or behind.[6] The presence of MagnaGuards indicated that high-ranking commanders were present, and gave the droids automatic authority over other battle droids deployed.

Magna Guard vs Staff Purge Trooper
That's not even a contest. Magnaguards are a league above purge troopers in the game.
Hacked magnaguard droids are so fun to use against the raiders. They destroy them in combat. I made them attack a raider Lieutenant, he barely got a scratch against the magnaguards

Im gonna nerd out for a bit, so although in game theyre very evenly matched, in lore the magnaguard would destroy multiple sentry droids at once
In lore, sentry droids only use blasters, and the magnaguard can block (not deflect) blaster bolts with their staff bc of their fast reaction speed. Not only that, a magnaguard's armor is strong enough to take several hits from blasters
So if a group of imp sentry droids took on a magnaguard, itd be a massacre. Electrostaffs are actually a lot more powerful than the games and lore accurate jedi let them out to be, a single tap from one can knockout a person/droid, and just a second of exposure can cause almost anything to die, the reason jedi like anakin can tank like 4 of them at once, is because of an in lore force ability which allow force users to disperse energy directed at them, a great example of this ability is how savage tanks a hundred bolts and comes out unharmed when he was betrayed by ventress & dooku, or how force lightning one shots non force users, but force users can tank a lot of it
Plus, the sentry droids a stupidly sluggish, they're a lot slower and heavier than b2s, and they were made to be tanky and sluggish, but an electrostaff can make short work of their thick armor, so if a magnaguard faced off with a bunch of sentries, the magnaguard would probably come out on top as it can block blasters, tank blasters, use blasters itself, has a weapon that nullifies the one advantage the sentries have (their thick armor), and magnaguards have very decent agility too
I really like the energy dispersion Force ability headcanon. It's never been outright stated that this is why electrical attacks seems so strangely weak in Star Wars, but it makes a lot of sense.
@@jackrutledgegoembel5896 Yea clone wars shows an electro staff downing a clone trooper with a half second contact, so we know that humans fall very quickly to it, the only case where this rule is broken is in BOBF, where I think the writers misunderstood why George depicted electro staffs as only tasing force users like anakin, and have boba fett, a non force user, tank a lot of electro staff blows
Disagree. Nearly every depiction we’ve had of a magnaguard, they get bodied. They’re not nearly as impressive as designed. And I’m not including gameplay depictions because those are made to be for gaming not lore/canon.
Magnaguards frequently have to outnumber their targets to even stand a chance. They couldn’t beat padawan Ahsoka, couldn’t beat Nadhar Vebb, a squad got gunned down by a squad of TIE Pilots, magnaguard got one shot like any other unit by a blaster in the CW (albeit it was a sniper rifle headshot), constantly get crushed by other Jedi, etc. They also have nearly 0 combat feats in terms of ranged combat. We see one use a RPS6 launcher to destroy a shuttle, but outside of that we never see them actually wield a blaster. Even if we include Legends, they’re sparse in feats. Their most notable is when they helped Grievous capture the chancellor but that was Legends Grievous doing most of the work.
I’m not saying the Sentry droid is some massive upgrade because the Sentry droids don’t have feats either.
But magnaguards are massively overhyped. And it’s not just them. Star Wars does this to every “elite” soldier unit to certain varying degrees.

Yeah. Magna's just unlucky with this matchup. It relies on being able to block attacks and stagger its enemy, while the DT droid seems to ignore both, on top of having more health.
Magna Guard: Versatility, agility, speed, combat skill.
Sentry Droid: Strenght and Durability.
Also Magna Guards are probaly cheaper.
Magnaguard would probably have won, outside the game. They can give unnamed Jedi a decent fight.

magnagard is getting stuck, that's why it keeps loosing
I think it's more that so many of the DT droid's attacks are unblockable and it can't be staggered. Magna isn't built for slugfests like this, it's much better off against less tanky foes.

Well canonically IG-100 Magna Guards are superior to DT Sentry Droids they may not be as durable but they are more skilled, more agile and have more weapons not to mention superior programming.

Dang. All these salty Magnaguard fans. Keep pointing out lore or whatever, but Magnaguards have 10 times more anti feats than actual feats. Rarely do we ever see a magnaguard succeed in combat, especially in its actual designed combat (I.e. vs a Jedi). Another thing, some are saying “magnaguards carry more weapons”. No they don’t. They’re typical load out does not have anything more than an electro staff. Unless they’re given specific weapons for a job, they’re only carrying that staff around.
Tbf, DT sentry droids don’t have many feats either. Nothing notable. Although, SW media always introduces new units or troopers (Dark Troopers, Beskar Jump troopers, BXs were new at a point, etc.) so these DT droids could be newer models with way better armor and weaponry which is why they are superior to the Magnaguards.
DT sentry droids were in rebels and one of them got wrecked by some pig looking alien with a blaster lol

Honestly, if the Empire can't be as threatening as the CIS then it serves no narrative purpose.
The idea of the CIS being more dangerous than the Empire ruins the entire franchise.
Sentry droids SHOULD be more powerful than Magnaguards. And Dark Troopers mop the floor with everything that came before them, with only Luke Skywalker himself being able to make short work of them. Not even Kyle Katarn could have defeated so many Dark Troopers that easily.

Oh please. A DT- sentry droid is a terrible imperial design.
One was defeated easily by Azmorigan with nothing more than a holdout blaster.
While closing his eyes and shooting wildly at its general direction😂

The same happen with other videos where the B1 wins against the stormtroopers who are canonically better trained units
