- Process overview of putting the 1" edge binding on a sling pad. This sling pad is made from upcycled yoga mat. The machine is a Juki DNU-1541 with Kobe Servo Motor and Needle Position Synchronizer.
My work horse since 2007. It's paid for itself many time over and still runs like a massive stallion. Best $ ever spent on an industrial machine. 29 years in the industry so I know. I am not paid, just a total fan of Juki helping me make $$
Thanks for the clear demonstration ❤
Thanks for the guidance.
Thanks for this video.
Khsew in Hong Kong has a binding machine for your machine and binders
I'm doing a very similar operation yet have an issue with it walking off the material. Any ideas?
@@Criwindustries where to write to you, I will throw links
Khsew makes great products, I have used their 1" 90 degree binding parts on my Juki 1508N and others on my Pfaff 335.
what attachment are you using? where did you get it?
That's only half the process correct
That is just the edge binding process. To manufacture the sling pad, after cutting, there are two other processes before and one other after before the finished product is ready to be assembled onto a sling.
Did you change the feed dogs for this attachment?
Negative, this is as basic as it gets, not even the feet were changed/modified.
How did you install your binder attachment to your Juki?
Two 9/64 x 40 TPI presser foot screws into the threaded plate in the machine bed.
Can you tell me what you are using for stiffener in that project? Need something simmular for IFAK backers. Thanks.
Recycled yoga mat.
That is really awesome! I was looking at that machine today. Is that binding guide aftermarket or something you made?
That guide is off the shelf from one of the two big Chinese Ebay stores, CKPSMS or Evernice.
Do you have a list of materials you are using?
Yoga mat, 500D Cordura, 50/50 NYCO ripstop for binding and Tex 70 thread.
