      Maybe he practiced using that metronome...at least it's lid is half open :D
      (I was afraid it could fall down and knock that nice bust over...)

      @Leander-piano  Місяць тому +5

      @@Martin-lz4sy No I thought maybe the metronome cover was making the buzzing sound in my last video so I tried to move it.
      I am not good at using a metronome but I am sure I will learn soon

    • @aBachwardsfellow
      @aBachwardsfellow Місяць тому +3

      @@Leander-piano just be sure the metronome is level -- otherwise it gives a jazzy dotted rhythm (sometimes fun to play with if you set it right ...)

    A little quick but asides from that it was all great. I used to play this one quite a bit. Your recordings of Joplins rags are some of my favourites. I enjoy them more than most I’ve heard

    What fun! When I was your age (wow, 50+ years ago now), my family used to love going to Shakey’s Pizza Parlor on Saturday nights. In those days they used to have coin-op paper-roll player pianos, but on Saturdays they had a live performer - straw hat, barbershop shirt, black bow tie and sleeve garters - who’d rock the heck out of the place with RAGTIME. I fell in love with Scott Joplin’s music way back then, and I still have a few pieces on my driving playlist on my iPhone today (interspersed with everything from Glenn Miller to Johnny Cash to AC⚡️DC to the Bee Gees). Good music, happy times! Thank you for bringing back the wonderful memories.

    Hello Leander, you make so many people happy including me when you play your Rag timepieces. It sounds and looks like Magic. When I was young I could learn a piece of music if I listened to the record a couple of times then I would have the melody. The rest was up to me to put the chords in there. Well here you are very quick at learning pieces of music so Brilliantly fast and they all have great rhythms to them as if you have a metronome built into your piano. I'd say that was a magical few moments till the end. BRAVO Leander keep practicing and doing a fantastic job. Your teacher must be as proud of your accomplishments as your parents. Keep up the great work. I'll be tuning in from time to time and see you in another video.😊😊😊Have a great day it looks nice and warm outside there.

    I've known others in the past who have progressed this quickly at such an early age within the ragtime world. Adam Swanson is the obvious example. PLEASE get him a better piano as soon as possible. This piano is teaching some bad habits that could go away with a much better instrument. Now is the time to give him the best environment as he progresses so quickly.

    • @MishaSkripach
      @MishaSkripach Місяць тому

      These bad habits won't go away with a better piano. The whole new technique is needed. I am sure things will be done to get this.
