Hey Lisa, flux blossom works best to me at cone 5 to 5.5 so if this was 6 that might be why. Loving all the refires nice work and that they survived! Love the idea of decals in a bowl. Oh love the raspberry mist combos so pretty. Great unload as always! Nat xx
Hi Lisa!! Binging videos today while I’m drinking my morning coffeeS! I’m here for the rescue…you flux blossom is too thin..I use the same clays and firing schedule, if you want the pink/blush hue apply at least 2 heavy coats. I like to layer it unevenly to create wavy flow pattern. It is stable, just keep the other glazes higher up, that’s when you get the running! Love the new glasses!! I mentioned to you on IG how much I loved you swiftie inspo saying!! Hahah!
Humm.. to chime in on you FB dilemma.. I’m thinking it’s either too thick on the bottom. Maybe do one less coat on the bottom and allow the glaze to flow from the sides inwards 🤔 Love that Raspberry mist LF combo, I remember you showing that a long time ago.. and I was inspired, I don’t have RM but may I just have to pick it up cuz that is gorgeous!! As always you kiln load is amazing and inspiring! Thank you!! xo
My flux blossom is yellowed when it doesn’t get quite hot enough. Did your honey flux turn yellowish too? Hmm. Beautiful pieces as always. Loving all your trinket dishes, especially the coins from heaven. 😊
Hi Lisa! On the flux blossom, have you tried a thicker application? I'm wondering if you're putting it on too think. If that is not the case, I'd call Amaco. They should be very helpful. Those soup mugs for your hubby are beautiful! Digital fire says the orange peel is most likely that it didn't get hot enough, but there are other things that could cause it as well. I love the pink and blue mugs! Great tips on applying the flux and double dipping. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Oh my gosh Lisa that first mug is amaaaazing!!!! Wow!! I absolutely LOVE the soup bowls! The size and shape as well as the glazes!! I have had the exact same thing happen with one of my big mugs and it was only on the bottom part of the mug. It was a big slipcast mug that has a big bottom and small top so it doesn’t tip over. I’m really interested what you find out about that because it was pretty bad. I always use cones on every shelf and the shelf that mug was on got to a cone 6 1/2 so not sure. Oooh love the alabaster with lavender mist and light flux! Can’t wait to try that! I bet it looks great on texture. What a perfect kiln load!!
Hi Lisa....the flux blossom that turned yellow might look really nice with Mayco's "desert dusk" . It turns out a very "leather" look glaze on a flat surface and nice on texture. As always, I love all your glaze combos! Happy Happy holidays...hope to see more!
Before you said it was flux blossom i was like oh what is that pretty yellow? 😅 Same combo would be pretty over frosted lemon. Love that turquoise lake ive got to get some it looks good with everything! The coyote test tile is not as beautiful as yours🩵
I really enjoy watching your kiln unloads. Your combos are great! Would you be willing to share your studio clear recipe? I think I’d like to simplify my glazing by mostly using clear on the inside of my mugs also. Thank you so much!
Oh Shawn. I am sorry to hear that. You guys seem like a great team when I watch your videos. So tough to watch someone you love suffer. Hope you both have a lovely Christmas

Happy holidays Corry!
Sometimes I get that if the glaze is too thick.
Thanks. That might have been the issue.
