Kishore Kumar had recorded only this one song for Film Paviter Papi (1970).It was compiled by the lyricist Prem Dhawan who also scored its brilliant music.
When Kishore Kumar died on 13th October,1987,many TV Channels had telecast this sad song.
Film Paviter Papi was based upon a Punjabi novel of the same name by famous author S.Nanak Singh.When this film was released, he was invited at Chandigarh to see it.He congratulated the entire team for its highly impressive outcome.
This film is available on the portal of UA-cam.Those who have not seen it so far , they may watch it now.

इस पवित्र पापी फिल्म की शूटिंग हरियाणा के जींद डिस्ट्रिक्ट, जींद शहर में हुई थी इस गाने में जींद का रानी तालाब, अंग्रेजों के द्वारा तोड़ा गया किला, गोहाना रोड, जींद का बड़ा रेलवे स्टेशन दिखाया गया है.. गाने की शुटिंग रानी तालाब से शुरु होती है 1970 मे हीरो बलराज साहनी के बेटे परीक्षित साहनी, काजोल की मां तनुजा जींद में आए थे.. फिल्म ज़बरदस्त हिट हुई थी.. फिल्म की कहानी बहुत ही बढ़िया है, देखने लायक फिल्म है, छोटा फोवारा चौंक, मल्होत्रा डेंटल हॉस्पिटल के सामने पुरानी बिल्डिंग बिंदलिश हॉस्पिटल में शुटिंग हुई थी... पटियाला चौक के भी सीन है , पूरी फिल्म जींद शहर में शूट हुई थी....
