imagine if a bigger girl wore what jorgeous presented on the runway, we would have seen them lipsync in the episode because the judges would not like it
She draped the fabric on her body, belted it, threw on a matching bikini, and glued some cookie cutters to it. I feel like anyone else would have been read to filth for it. It was a safe look because there really were 3 other looks worse than it. It's not the worst thing we've seen on drag race but it's certainly not worthy of winning over Angeria, Lady Camden, or Willow.

I understand that it looks bad that no one was trying to help willow. However, if you encounter a disabled person in real life, please ask if we need help before you just decide to do something. I am a wheelchair user and I couldn't tell you how many times random strangers have pushed my wheelchair without permission or followed me around the store to "help" me. I even had a jack wagon try to pick me up and put me in my van like a baby in a car seat.
You're not wrong of course, but also a) there are scissors everywhere in that workroom, and b) i think this moment was played up for plot regardless. ehhhhhhh!
It is very telling because, 9 times out of 10, they would hate someone getting in their personal space without permission.
@Pug Dad it's dangerous, too. You could have good intentions, but throw us off balance and make us fall. Sometimes you might get hurt. People will try to push me up a ramp, but at 5'11" I am a lot heavier than I look. It's also a little creepy because we are vulnerable to devotees, diy faith healers, and people who think they are at a freak show. At a glance, I don't know if someone is just being nice or if they intend to ask me about my tragic backstory.
Thats really not comparable. They simply could have offered scissors or box cutters to ALL the girls, considering they had to open boxes. It seems like common sense.

Pardon me spooky me ,the thing with Jorgeous is that , if anyone with a different body type than hers did that , they would have been read for filth and on top of that it did look like a Jlo look, in fact, the one that Kerri wore . The look wasn't bad but ya know . Also , I hate how Jorgeous acted with Cynthia Le Fontaine on twitter so that soured the look ,for me, even more .
When people were throwing ”Jasmine ended heterosexuality”-digs at Maddy I thought about poor straight Kornbread whose ankle apparently ended her heterosexuality because it sent her home. 😅 Also Kerri and Bosco are straight too, I don't think they're going to take lightly to heterosexuality ending

It's called Soggy Biscuit in the UK too, although it's viewed as an urban myth and I've never heard of anyone actually taking part. It was more used as a way to spread rumours that someone was gay - 'they played soggy biscuit and lost on purpose'.

the thing for me about daya is that obviously the comparisons to crystal methyd is going to bug her , but when you ask for advice from rupaul and she tells you to show yourself more , what i don’t understand is why would you go and create a look that is not representative of who you are ? she kept saying over and over in the episode that she is more dark , edgy , and sexy but she’s creating a look that is completely the opposite of that and quite honestly gives more crystal than daya . of course crystal does not own that kind of aesthetic but it just seemed hypocritical to me that she is saying she is the opposite of crystal but she hasn’t shown that at all the whole season .

I fully understand your viewpoint on Maddie, Darby, but I think you're being a bit close-minded when it comes to the fact that not only queer people struggle with their sexuality. Yes, in the end Maddie realized she was heterosexual, but she still had to go through the same struggle while she was on that journey. A teen struggling with their sexuality is a teen struggling no matter the eventual outcome. He's a straight dude from Arkansas (Oklahoma? I can't remember) who likes to dress up as a woman. He's automatically perceived as gay and is going to get the same shit a gay person would.
Yeah, and the way Maddy presented the story about her mother it was clearly not a big deal to her (”you can't miss what you didn’t have”), it was just a snippet of her life, not ”here’s MY trauma.” Also it was only brought up because Daya asked her if her mom knows she does drag (completely unprompted by the producers, ob-vi-ous-ly 😅)

@@hoesayohlay eh, I don’t think that was intentional. They were all sharing their stories and Maddie wasn’t purposely like, “here’s my story, it’s more important than yours”. Also, there’s the possibility it was edited to come after KK’s story even when it may not have been.

I understand you don’t blame Maddy for sharing her story about her mom when she did, but honestly ew to your reaction that it was out of place or not the right time. Singling out Maddy as a straight man or Kerri as a trans woman and claiming more or less validity to either of their stories because of their identities is not equality. No one’s story, trauma, or struggles are more important than anyone else’s. Everyone gets their time to share.
