    Nice footage by the Venice. I know this isn't the topic of the video, but that interview footage is distracting. What camera did they use? Why does it look dull and overexposed lol.

    Looks amazing to me. I can't wait to see what James Cameron can do with this camera on the next Avatar movies... whenever they are.....

    Sony isn't even trying to hide that they are coping the Arri! they didn't even bother to change the menu structure! No wonder it is more intuitive. Sony CineArri...

      I am sorry but Sony was the first one using that structure on their F23 camera (released in 2007) which came out before the Alexa (released in 2010) was even in development.
      And who cares? Filmmakers wanted familiar cameras onset and the camera manufactures listened. Now you can easily go to a Sony, Alexa or Varicam without even thinking twice.
      That's why people doing set work with multiple camera assistants prefer these cameras over REDs.

    • @Photographicelements
      @Photographicelements 7 років тому

      No, and do not claim to be. I often shoot on RED's. We rent what is needed for the project.

    • @highgroundproductions8590
      @highgroundproductions8590 7 років тому

      Well, if your productions demand the capabilities of such a high end camera, it is probably a good choice - and it's pretty cost efficient for what it does. It's basically a high end RED, but without the many wildly expensive accessories that are needed just to operate a RED properly.

    Won't the built in NDs get dirty over time? At least with the screw on NDs you can clean them and who needs in body ND when you can use in lens ND?

    I bet this has better iso performance than the A7SII. The full frame is probably great for low light. Like a night shoot. Can it do great low noise footage at ISO 409,600 or something ?

    Why does the camera shot only 60 frames in 4k, It would be great if it would do at least 120

    • @tableoynadamas

      It's like asking why there are people who like to shoot with angular or telephoto lenses instead of using normal lenses, it's aesthetic and a narrative tool, not a true copy of reality.
