- Bear Grylls loves to fly, and today he’s taking to the air with his son Jesse on a set of paramotors. Although Jesse has been paramotoring since he was 14 (much to his mother’s dismay), he’s never completed a landing on their island in North Wales.
Can he complete the challenge today? It’s a long way down if not!

Hey Bear, I live in the Czech Republic with never ending countryside and many places to explore, I am at the moment doing my own challenge of over coming my fear of driving, many years ago I had a small car accident that put me off getting my license, but now with a long chat and nudge from my wife I signed up to a driving school in Prague and loving it, the second I've got that license and my 4x4, myself, the wife and kids will be out every weekend on outdoor adventures.
The relationship between every parent and their son and daughter is always the best relationship in the world.

Great to see you out with your son Bear. Bear, you inspired me years ago with your flying over Everest documentary and I never found out more about paramotoring until 2 years ago, when I found a local guy doing it, turned out to be a trainer, and he got me in the air, but I always credit you for getting me into the sport, so its cool to see you active & flying here! Would love the chance to fly with you someday, cool stuff! IT IS a great sport, so much fun.

Good opportunity to mention having floatation for flying over water. Particularly cold water like that. You will have less than 20 seconds of breath hold if you go down in cold water due to cold shock.
