Ahh perfect way to slow dispatches down! They're already slow enough in the chain haha. Heard these will be limited time only.
After a few weeks they will either get rid of it or make it an up charge.
As someone who works at fiesta as a ride op and has some friends that work this ride, they are actually extremely efficient. They have 5 employees for the harnesses alone so they are in and out of there before all the normal seats are checked
I thought the same thing at first but… nope they are killing it over there
@@ThemeParkUpdate I’m a huge fan
Holy crap this is a very cool and unique ride. More parks should get these, it just make a star flyer a lot more terrifying by changing 1 thing.
Terrifying 😂😂 I already hate the swing rides with those tiny chains...but now I'm about to actually fly away 🤣🤣
For anyone who's been in a skycoaster harness and thought, "I wish I could be in this longer and without any airtime."
That’s exactly what I was thinking 😂 I would think the centrifugal force of a skyscreamer would make this kind of miserable. Looks interesting though!
@@coasterchaos1866 Im a bigger guy so I would definitely be crushing my lungs.
♥️🤣♥️🤣♥️🤣♥️
@@Acylumgaming yeah I would too. Did a ride where I had to lie down on my stomach and I felt like I couldn't breathe 🤣
I would hate to see this on the Orlando Starflyer. 400ft with nothing but a vest. That's more terrifying than their drop tower!
They brought it to sixflags over texas. The sky screamer is 400 ft! 😵💫
Um……no thanks!
They should make the harness like a 2 dollar fee, so the dispatches aren’t horribly slow.
Imagine your life is solely dependent on one single hook
Even though it’ll slow down dispatches it looks like a really cool experience. It would be awesome to see this on one of the 400 footers
Fortunately there’s a separate 5 people who just do the harnesses when working this ride, so 7 employees total. Because of that the dispatches aren’t really slowed at all
I actually had a chance to do this a few days ago. I went with my partner to SFFT for their Mardi Gras celebration (try the fried gator bites!) and didn't know they'd done this to the Sky Screamer. The dispatches were a bit slower-- now instead of 2 minutes in between, it's closer to 4-- but because they had 4 ride ops dedicated to harnessing people and plenty of spare harnesses to get flyers ready beforehand, it wasn't too bad. The longest anyone waited was maybe 20 minutes? The ride felt like it was over quickly, and it's kind of a wild rush. The wind goes through your hair, and you get that fun flying feeling without having to pay extra, along with some of the best views of the park (they're putting the footers in for Dr. Diabolical now!).
This is really sick that SkyScreamer added vests to sound like you are flying, but this does look cool at the same time lmao!
I’ve always wanted to fly around in a circle face first inside a blanket.
I mean I haven’t, but NOW I DO
FAQs (I’m a ride op at fiesta)
1. Is it limited time?
A: Kinda, last week I believe was the last time that this ride is free, but they are keeping it as an upcharge attraction as it got a lot of traffic and was pretty fun.
2. Does it slow down ops?
A: Nah :). They have a minimum of 2 operators for the ride itself (like the seats) and 5 just on the harnesses. The harness people are usually done before all the seats are checked :)
Update: It is now $5 to ride
Any more questions, j reply to the comment
Everyone savage till the harness starts spinning 💀
I’ve had the chance to do this. It was actually really fun, highly recommend going single rider. You are able to swing back and forth, terrifying, but really cool
is there an additional fee for this?
@@paulfield5428 Yes there is. From my knowledge, it is about $10
Sky screamer got stuck yesterday about 3/4th the way up for about 15 minutes and it looked terrible to be in one of the vests😂
Wonder Woman at Six Flags America should do this. Then rotate that thing backwards to make you fly backwards like they do every year for Fright Fest. Hell, I be singing 'I believe I can Fly' every ride.
I used to be a site controller and the first thing that comes to my mind when seeing this is is that now starflyers need a skycoaster site controller working the ride at all times lol.
omg this is so cool I hope more parks get this
Wow! Let’s see how this goes for SFFT before they add it to other SkyScreamers. I just hope it doesn’t fail like the Skywarp failed. This ride concept looks absolutely WILD.
I heard SFFT is the prototype Six Flags park.
Your right SFFT is the prototype six flags park so now I'm hoping they do it with Texas sky screamer at SFOT imagine being 400 feet in the air with only a vest it would be crazy
i dont think so LMAO no way. i get so scared on REGULAR sky screamers, theres no way you could get me to do this. if you can, more power to you but YIKES
Looks amazing!
😲😃🤣 They should call this The Star Fly Configuration!
I would be terrified
Is this an up charge or just first come, first serve?
Loved the video, that is just insane I wish other parks would do the same thing with their Starflyer rides!!!
This is so cool
Great video Taylor
thats sick
Cool, except loading/unloading will take a very long time, and you can't trust SF to keep those harnesses clean. Not only do they stink after a while, but they simply aren't sanitary in this day and age.
Love fiesta Texas
At that point you might as well go skydiving. 🤣
Road to 200k!
I’m a theme park enthusiast but, you can’t strap me into that “vest” like restriant on this ride. I would feel like I’d fall out.
When dose it end?
BLLEEEAAAARRRRRGGHHHHH!
Imagine that the ride all of a sudden stops and one of the seats come right at you and you get hit by one 💀
This would be cool at my home park SFOT, the Texas Skyscreamer is twice as tall, this would be killer!
That looks amazing! Sign me up!😃😃😃
So basically they have taking hang gliding equipment and attached it to the ride.
I’m guessing this is a upcharge ?
I got dibs!
Imagine doing this on the Orlando Starflyer
lol
This looks so fun lol
Six Flags can add this feature to the other Skyscreamer rides!
No way in hell that Im riding that
maybe theyll bring it throughout the chain like they did with backwords batman
Just imagine if the brought this to the Texas SkyScreamer at SFOT…
That would be nightmare fuel to me. I find Starflyers to be the scariest rides in the world. Tall coasters are just fun and don't make me nervous. Drop towers do make me nervous but they're really fun. Windseekers drive up my anxiety. But Starflyers make me question the safety of the ride. The chains look like tiny necklaces. This ride experience would be incredibly freaky.
How about this, they put one of these on top of the Stratosphere tower in Las Vegas. Then you'd have the undisputed scariest ride on earth.
That’s an instant NO from me 😂
Wonder how it feels compared to F.L.Y.
I did this, it was very fun! Now the parks copied us 😔😔
If children didn’t oversee the ride I MIGHT consider it, but I would piss my pants. You’d have to pay me a lot to ride it.
Ngl the thumbnail looks like a clickbait thumbnail bc of the arrow and circle lol
imagine being the person behind them
I can’t ever do this
Remember me I’m eathan
That's a lotta NOPE for me.
Oh boy, just you wait Another Schwartz lol.
Two words: NO, THANKS!
oh hell no
Hell no life hanging on a hook 🪝
thats gonna be a no from me dawg
Doesn’t look super comfortable
Nope
ill ride any coaster on the planet but this is a fat no from me
