Super excited to see you back and running again! I've been a fan for probably just over a year or so and you have helped me learn so much about longboarding. Thanks for all you do. P.S. I'm also really happy you took the break as everyone needs to step back sometimes. :))
Love your stuff dude, i'd love if you could look at some eskate conversions since you're kind of dipping your toe into the water of electronic boards. Thanks!
@@concrete-waves Do estate adapters work on surf skates too? Or is it not worth it because you’ll be riding faster and stability is lost?? I don’t have either, but am trying to pick estate or surf skate
I’ve missed you posting. Glad to see you back from the break and I see some new boards back their 👀 definitely wanna know your opinion on the updated surf skate from landyachtz. I’ve got the flippy but due to the weather haven’t been able to really shred it. Feels super comfy tho
Thanks for sticking around. I appreciate it! I've been riding the surf life birds a bunch. I think it's solid, just not as aggressive as the pivoting adapters out there. Curious to know what you think when you ride your flippy
@@concrete-waves will definitely report back. I love my dinghy and I wanted something with a lil more meat but still had great maneuverability. The foam grip is a nice comfy touch as well. Can’t wait to see what you do with this channel as the future unfolds
@@concrete-waves after getting to ride it for a day(now back to rain lmao) I can say I love it. I had to tighten the trucks a little to my preference because mine felt almost floppy instead of carvey if that makes any sense and I’m not use to surf skates. After that tho it rides like a charm. It’s super cool to see the sharper turns I’m able to make around tight corners here on campus compared to my dinghy and feels like I’m standing ona big cloud. Can’t wait to really take it out and shred it some more
This is how I've found that the wheelbase works for defining surfskate surfstyle emulation. 15"-21" WB for high performance short board experience 21"-26"WB midlength/funboard experience 27" plus WB longboard/log experience
I would've liked you to go into detail about why you would use a longer or shorter wheel base on a particular setup, and how you could change it. You covered the broad reason (shorter=less stable) But you're right, there are so many variables and different reasons for all of it. It would be difficult to cover it all. Definitely glad you're back!
👏🏼👏🏼 *I love caliber trucks but they do reduce wheelbase a bit more than most other popular trucks.* ⚡ On shortboards/minis you can somewhat mitigate a shorter wheelbase by usin lower degree angle baseplates
Hey Mates! I need your help on finding the right deck as I am total newbie and this material just proved it. I am looking for replacement for my snowboard for summer 🙃 Riding style: Fakie Ollie All kind of terrain but mostly city flat grounds, lot of ppl Distances - 5-10km I’d like to downhill few times (nothing extreme😅) Deck that will be stable, able to carve and manoeuvrable? Not a longboard, something more portable I am 5’10, 170lb, 9US I thought about Landyachtz Tugboat. Is it a right choice for me? Thanks!
The owner of my local skateboard shop told me shorter wheelbases means you'll be pushing and pushing and pushing vs longer wheelbases where you need to push less frequently to enjoy cruising. Any truth to shorter wheelbases taking more pushing to make the skateboard roll? Didn't seem to make sense and I can't find any info on this point. Thanks in advance.
I think an opportunity was missed here maybe linking the riding styles best suited for what wheel base. It ended with no conclusion really. I felt like I was left with well . . Here’s a video showing you a lot of wheel bases. . .go figure it out for yourself. . . Buh bye.
Can't here the slash grind because the background noise was too loud. Just because you like the noise does not mean everyone watching will like it. Just saying.
So stoked to see you guys back on! The quality of your vids is always top notch.
Thanks for sticking around and showing love. Appreciate it!
Thanks so much for having such plain and direct explanations…makes everything simple! Keep shredding!
4:23 word! I 100% agree.
And your videos are a really good beginners guide to tweaking a setup.
Nice to see you guys around again.

It has been soo long since a new video has been posted. This did not disappoint. Worth the wait imo :)
Super helpful video, it’s amazing how much better the production has gotten too! I’m super stoked you’re back!
Thanks! Trying to incorporate some 3d animations

Yeah good point, thanks for the feedback. I'm gonna be working on adding more detail to our website article
So glad yall are back!!!
Really well done explanation of the many board setups!

The legend returns
Nice vid, Still waiting for your Loaded Tan Tien review tho 😅
Very good explanation.. honest. no bs! Thank you!
new shred shack 🤩🤩
We're back. Thanks for coming back and showing support!
You should do a video on speed wobble and how it affects different setups.
Shred Shack is baaaaack!
Wow, this is so rad and informative!
0:25 nice animation
My man, please review the yamba 900 cruiser from decathlon
love the vids man!
Nice vid! Good Info🤙🏻

Our of topic question...I wanna buy my first surfskate.
Between Miller end D street what you suggest?
Thx
actually street decks start at 13.5"wb for minis and 13.75" wb early 90s street decks.
Yoww have a nice weekend everybody!
What up Robbe! Thanks for sticking around
Dope! 😎 I can really tell the difference going from my Dindhy to my Tugboat.
Thanks Charles. Yeah the difference between those two are definitely noticeable

I love this channel. Learned a lot. What's the model of the board that shows up at 0:55?
Thanks for supporting! That's the Arbor Oso
@@concrete-waves Thank you.
Review of the Oso coming soon?
Weird. My dancing board feels harder to control than my skateboard- is that part of the whole stability thing?
Can you try the nkx surfskate?
Do you sell any of your used boards?
Hey, its been awhile!
Greetings from Kyiv,
Hope you're staying safe! 💙
1:00 So in short, the reason you can't accurately measure 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘭 base on a blank deck is because there are no wheels yet. Makes sense haha
Sorta. No trucks = you can't figure out the true wheelbase since they all have different geometries
Love the pointers you made here man but that part where you were saying bicyclists should all be skinned from the waist down was a little extra
Oh my bad dude I won't include that next time

Thanks for the feedback Chris. Solid point. There’s more detail for each riding style in the website article. And currently adding more
@@concrete-waves of course man! Channel is great and getting better im sure. Keep up the good work.
Look into a UA-camr called longboard technology if you want to see some interesting shizzle
