Totally agree! Whenever I listen to this song I put it on repeat and repeat and repeat. It touches emotio s and I enjoy it, like it has something healing...comforting...definitely my favourite U2 song
This song kept me alive when it came out. Everything was crashing down: markets, buildings, my personal life. “If the sky can crack there must be some way back” was like a prayer I said over and over until it was over.

This song is so painful, because it’s true. We all want utopia but it’s not here. This is the devils world and for some reason he thinks he’s right, he’s not.
@@elpatron762This is his remix of "Electrical Storm" - the original version is rather different. He also produced the track. If you're familiar with Orbit his distinct style is very recognisable, too.

I lost my mother last year and I guess this spring will make two years but its an everyday battle to get through it. If not for GOD and also U2 I don't know where I'd be.
To those who may not know, the "Baby don't cry" part of the lyrics is an ode and tribute to the INXS (pronounced "In Excess", popular Australian pop/rock band) song "Baby Don't Cry" from 1992, Bono was a close friend of its late lead singer Michael Hutchence who died in 1997.

Used to listen to this as a little kid with my dad who loved U2. Just found out he passed yesterday. We had a complicated relationship, addiction got in his way. But he loved U2 and showed me so much good music as a kid and for that in forever thankful.
I had not seen this video in years and I didn't remember how cool this video really is! Anton Corbyn is a very gifted photographer and director, I love his work.

This song is surreal, its sublimation of eternal love. The actress brings that emotions, she's absolutely stunning, in her own unique way. When you hear this song, you start to believe in real love ❤
A lot of U2's songs have become a soundtrack to my life, the good and the bad. This song is beautiful in so many ways, this song I can say for the loving part of my married life it is the song for the end of my marriage. Divorce is always hard not to mention putting to rest all of life's aspirations and raising of children together. Looking at life afterwards takes time to sift out the good from the past comes perseverance and courage to be good with being oneself alone. Not lonely just not needing to be codependent with anyone. I love who I am today, maybe someday I will be able to share my life with someone else. Maybe....
I have fallen in love with this song. It is beautiful and has gotten into my head and I get goose bumps when I hear it. Another Awesome song to add to my collection.

Amo todo de esta canción, desde el sentimiento de Bono, la guitarra the Edge, hasta el video. A pesar del tiempo, sigue latiendo mi corazón tan rápido cuando la escucho ❤.

2023 and this hooky, crunchy, undeniable riff from the edge paired with Bono's smooth vocals keeps me coming back because deep inside the twirling sounds, is powerfully emotional, spiritually touching musica. Amen.

I am very attached to this video shot in Eze plage and village in the south of France, where I spent wonderful and unforgettable summers. Bono is filmed on the old local train that ran along the coast, and if you were hot you could open the doors while the train was running, letting the scented air of Provence cool your face.
My favorite U2 song. I was hooked when i heard intro alone, for the first time back in 2002 when I was 14 years old. I also remember how this version always reminded me of Madonna' s "Ray of Light" sound, not knowing that William Orbit actually produced this masterpiece.🙂
Same here... 14 when i first listened to that magnificent breeze of sound back in 2002! One might not had been able to tell then but now one can be certain, songs like this masterpiece have defined an era and even had an impact on the way one would view the world, from there on. At least i know i am one...
Completely agree. I was 13 when this came out and had very similar feelings…and I think it was my first major sexual awakening due to the gorgeous Mr Mullen :p
For me, they became too "pop" sounding and tried too hard to create a hit song. They got away from what makes them U2...Edge's guitar sound. There are some gems tucked away in the past couple of albums, but overall they don't move me like they used to. With that said, I'm still a big U2 fan and am hoping they make yet another reinvention of themselves in the coming years.
@Darren Roberts I thought about it and I think their hype became too removed from where they started. Hiring a private jet for bono's hat, this sort of thing. The price of too much fame and natural process of change as we get older will catch anyone ...
If anyone says this is underrated again I’m gonna scream, every fan of u2 is aware this one of there best songs and a brilliant video , so please let’s stop this is so under the radar nonsense.
Easily the most underrated U2 song, and one of their best videos too.
