The thing is looking at John Wayne Gacy is that it reminds me on how at one point clowns to allot of people were not seen as scary at first. I am not saying it was Gacy himself that made people see ALL clowns as scary but I will say that to me its people like him that likely gave a good amount of people fear of clowns at one point.
My guess is that it sorta snowballed into everyone hating clowns. Clowns were happy and fun, then Gacy shows up, then I’m sure that gave some directors some ideas to make scary clown movies, like Steven King’s IT or Killer clowns from outer space, ext; and these things just morphed into everyone hating clowns. Heck, the Joker was even before Gacy and he was evil.
Harold Shipman didn’t inject his patients with Heroin!! He used morphine. The 250 victim figure is likely to be higher. Some detectives at the time suggested it could be be nearer 400

But my dad would always say we have dogs for protection not just pets. BTK made people fear entering their own home in Wichita KS.

True. There was a guy named Bruno Ludke who was convicted of 85 murders. Many say he only killed one or 2. Also reminds me of the most exaggerated killer ever Heny Lee Lucas. The Texas Rangers even framed a District attourney to keep the scheme going so they could continue to get funding for their investigation with Lucas as the central focus. His damages eye made him look like the monster so they used that to trick the public. Lucas probably only killed 1 or 2 in reality but for decades he was considered the most prolific ever.

Ted Bundy having good looks must be one of the most egregious lies maintained in the study of criminal justice.
Yeah a lot of these guys when they were young were apparently Way more handsome than Ted Bundy if their pictures here are anything to go by (in as not-weird a way as you I say that). Not sure where his rizzmaster persona comes from but he must have just been a good talker.
If ur a guy and u look average but you can talk very smooth then you get bumped up a lot
I have just started watching this video, but I already am subscribing. Your devotion to historical accuracy alone with the first person in the video is worth subscribing. (btw... Something that has always bothered me... with H.H. Holmes.. how in the world did he get The Murder Castle built and no one know about it?!?!?)
He hired and fired different architects, so Holmes was the only one who knew the entire plans of the building.
There was no murder castle, it was made up to sell news papers lol
You missed Gary Ridgeway, the Green River killer. You also missed Elisabet Bathory. You missed Bell Guness. You missed Jane Toppan. That is like missing Queen Elisabeth in a list of English royalty.
I was wondering how Gary Ridgeway was missed.
Holmes has a descendant that inherited his personal possessions and claims that he was in London during the period of the Jack The Ripper murders.
I’ve heard this theory also. One of the witness said the man that was with one of the victims was smartly dressed and had some flashy jewelry/ pocket watch. Which could track for a fraudster at the time
Random fact about Albert fish: there’s a song involving a snippet of his letter (Secrets of Wisteria if anyone’s curious)
that’s how i found out about him
Fun fact, Albert Fish’s granddaughter Tabatha is located in Southern California to this day. Both she and her father refuse to acknowledge Albert’s existence but she still had his last name as of four years ago. Every now and again I see her at the local 7-11. True story.
Love how straight forward this is. Thanks.

Killer urban legends " I have a gun and a badge and I'm still scared of clowns .
Uh dude he painted skulls and creepy clowns not no ronalad mcdonalad . I mean like pennywise and bozo creepy .

ANDRE DIDNT GET ARRESTED WHEN HE WAS APPROACHING KIDS, he was seen walking out of the bushes with blood on him, and THEN they arrested him.
BTK was no joke, when i got home from the store or anywhere as a kid first thing my dad did after unlocking the house door was let the dogs in. After about 2 minutes we then would enter our own house. I always felt bad about the dogs going in first like what if hes in there he prolly would of killed them or 1 at least. But my dad would always say we have dogs for protection not just pets. BTK made people fear entering their own home in Wichita KS.
I really enjoyed this video. Outstanding!

One of the worst serial killers was never caught. He is the Man From The Train likely named Paul Mueller. He was suspected as being the one behind the famous Villisca, Iowa axe murders as well as many others.
Gilles really looks like a certain ogre hunting prince
Didn't gilles murder was still questionable? Like even back then they never found solid proof about his crime. And modern scholars mostly agreed that there is a high possibility that the other nobles who accussed him of his crime because they want to steal his land and property, but again nothing is confirmed at this point.

Why are people still referring to Bundy as "good looking" what a total non-sense narrative.
That was one of his features lol he used it to get his victims so
lol
Because at the time it was relevant and was one of the factors that caused his victims to trust him
He charmed women throughout his life as a way to bring down their guard to do his terrible deeds. It’s not nonsense as people were unfortunately more likely to trust him because of it.
He’s above average looking and relatively charismatic. People talk about this because it’s such a sharp contrast from what people imagine serial killers to look and act like.
i think giving serial killer names is exactly what drives them now
Great video! Only critique, B in BTK stands for Bind. Good video though regardless of that
the case of Richard Ramirez as I remember, when me and my sisters were little my dad told us of when he was younger. He was born 1985. He said when he was younger his mom would always leave the door open to the mesh door. So when it was broadcasted that a person was sneaking in houses at night she started closing the doors and his windows would be left closed as well. Then with that he told us to not leave our windows open even though it was 2017 D:

Jack the Ripper is now known, thanks to DNA it was the polish sailor.
Not officially
@@paulcarpenter7844 To quote Dr Tim Sampson a inquest barrister: ‘had the newly available DNA analysis of blood and semen samples obtained from a shawl been available to the police at that time, it would have been justifiable for the coroner to charge and then seek to Mr Kosminski prosecuted for both the murder of Miss Eddowes and the other four known victims of the so-called Ripper murders.’

@@paulcarpenter7844 I’ve replied to you with facts, but it has disappeared for some reason. YT might explain?
It’s not. The DNA test they used was a very unreliable method and they used an artifact with dubious (at best) connections to the crime scene. There are entire books written about the hundreds of people who’ve been suspected. Odds are we’ll never find the truth.
