I'd like to point out some mistakes in the review.
      - the smallest Napoleonic unit was the skirmishers, often it would be a specialized company that divided into groups of 2 men to cover more ground in a loose formation.
      - A French Napoleonic battery was made of 8 guns, 6 cannons and 2 howitzers to be more precise.
And each gun had not one but 2 ammo boxes, with 2 more in reserve.
-The ammunition train was actually supposed to supply a entire Division of infantry (2 brigades, about 9.000 men depending on wich one) and as i stated before, the artillery had it's own ammo
-In the movie you can see when the King sends Ney to stop Napoleon, and the iron cage quote

Napoleon had 100 speech perk, that's how he was able to convince his enemies to join him

Seriously one of the best historical movies. No cgi yet plenty of soldiers, pretty entertaining, good uniforms, and some decent character representation.

Napoleon was one of the smartest, most badass and strongest figures in history. He knows that most of those men after freeing France from the Louis dynasty, getting a better and more free like and nearly conquering all of Europe want to join him and he uses it

Actually, what you said about the extras being actual conscripted men, there's another movie that did that, in fact on an even larger scale. Its called "Hero"(2002) that in one scene they fielded 18000 extras provided by the chinese People's Liberation Army.

With all its faults and shortcomings it is still my favorite historical movie. I sadly don't think we gonna see something like this again. No one in todays film industry has this much extras available.

Maybe the companies were divided into sections. In the video by Invicta on the true size of Napoleon's army, he explains the basic structure from the individual soldier up to the Brigade, very interesting and I recommend watching.

Of course, there is the story of Ney surviving and making his way to America. And of course there is a story of everyone famous who died tragically surviving.

@HistoryLegends There is actually a movie made by the same brilliant Serguei Bondarchuk in the War and Peace film series. If you think "Waterloo" is incredible, just watch "War and Peace": 13,500 soldiers and 1,500 horsemen. And the filming is even better.
Best thing of all, it's all free on UA-cam:)

An excellent reaction to one of the greatest war movies of all time. My only criticism of the accuracy of the movie is that it does a poor job, aside from the British and Prussians, giving credit to the other states who fought against the French such as the Netherlands, Brunswick, Nassau and of course, Hanover. Keep up the excellent work!

100-120 men is paper strength it wasn’t uncommon back then to have companies Of various sizes as regiments back then were typically raised by region and each region has different population density more over the battalion was the basic tactical unit of the Napoleonic. Wars the companies should not have a gap as they should be all on line one right next to the other and they should have positioned the other two battalions either online or perhaps in in attack colum which was the most common French fighting formation

This scene shows how Scott totally failed.
It is a dream for a scriptwriter, too good to be true and yet, it was true and Scott manages to screw it up!
In his movie, no tension, no emotion, nothing!
    And compared to Bondarchuck's movie...

Mughal e Azam got close to this number. 10,000 soldiers from the Indian armed forces were recruited as extras for the battle sequence. You should really look into that scene.
