So electricity is still generated during cloudy weather and rain, just not as efficiently as when there is direct sunlight. On days like this we just avoid using power hungry appliances like the dishwasher and washing machine. We try and preserve the battery for lights, fridge and charging devices. Your battery might not reach full capacity on days like this but it will charge. Hope this helps.
