I'm flabbergasted as to why everyone is complaining about Pettersson's play in the playoffs as he was struggling months before. It was bound to carry over. The contract that they just signed him for is going to come back to haunt them. That is the amount that Miller should be getting after watching the playoffs. Allvin looked worried as he should be. He just made a huge mistake by signing Pettersson to that ridiculous amount.
@@About36Greekss You're 110% correct as there are season players and playoff players. It makes me wonder who exactly Carolina was offering for Pettersson at the past trade deadline. That is why Allvin called an emergency meeting with Pettersson's agent. Unfortunately we will never know the full details, but Allvin should have argued for less money as Pettersson was struggling badly months beforehand. We overpaid. End of story! 🤔

Joshua is overrated, not worth the 3-3.5 he's gonna get. Gotta bring back Myers next year at a cheaper aav of course. Teddy Blu should be brought back as well as a 4th line C, great defensively. Lafferty, Cole, DeSmith all walk

He's cause he's a right shot, that alone brings his value up even though he's entirely a beneficiary of playing with Hughes. Joshua at 2.5 or 3 is fine in a 2-3yr deal. I would hope PA/JR look into trading away Ilya and his 4+m cap hit for the next 2yrs. Package a pick with him and get his deal off the books and go from there and figure out your top 6 and get Petey a good winger
How to improve the powerplay? Split them up. Too many chefs in the kitchen right now. They play as if they have the entire 2 minutes to work on. They need a potent 2nd unit to create a sense of urgency. People seem to forget about the times when the Canucks had 2 PP units that were working well. The WCE as PP1 w/ the Sedins as PP2. Then when the Sedins were PP1, they had Kesler centering his own PP2 in 2009-10... also very dominant. Have Boeser, Miller and Hughes as the mainstay for PP1. Then PP2 with EP40, Hoglander, Hronek, etc.
The oilers were the better team overall in the series the sheer talent on that team is mindbogling. If it weren't for Silovs, this series would not have gone to 7.
Speaking on Demko, I think we’ve established he probably can’t do it, with the 3 straight years with long injuries. The stress he puts on his body doesn’t lend itself to a long playoff run.

But Edmonton scored all series long by their defensemen dumping (not even SHOOTING) shots on net. I wonder which team won this, and why?
Petey’s the biggest question mark out of all of this. If he doesn’t live up to this contract, it won’t matter how anyone else does or who we sign. They need to give him whatever guidance he needs to be at his best next year.
your team played well against a team that had the flu in the early goings and the lost to the best players in the world when they found their game. in game 6 and 7 your team was out classed. welcome to the playoffs, your team will learn and get better just as the oilers have and after a few more losses your team will learn what it takes to win. hopefully that's not against the oilers
Garrett is way to much of a homer. Saying Mcdavid had a bad series etc. then these guys say how all the Canucks are busted up. How do you think mcdavid feels after that crosscheck to the back? If Petterson would have received that he’d be out next game.

Plenty of Swedes have won cups. Lindholm was a monster out there. It’s soft weak Swedes that are the problem.
