Swinney et al would be wise to remember "Not all who say to Me (Jesus) 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven"
Ross Grear is a cofused , damaged individual. He's also really annoying.
He is a "self-styled" Christian.
Both practically Christians in name only. A person who defines himself as a Christian but who does not testify to his faith even with his own works or who claims to establish himself what the truths of Christianity are, even in contrast with fundamental thousand-year-old teachings of Christianity, is not a (true) Christian. Quote from G.K. Chesterton's "What's wrong with the world" (1910): "If a man, a woman and a child live together any more in free and sovereign households, these ancient relations will recur; and Hudge [fictional character symbolizing the progressive politician] must put up with it. He can only avoid it by destroying the family, driving both sexes into sexless hives and hordes, and bringing up all children as the children of the state ... If we are to preserve the family we must revolutionize the nation." Prophetic. Why does the NHS Scotland and practically all Scottish politicians seem to ignore the Tavistock scandal (Tavistock has a vary interesting history, including significant funding from the Rockefeller foundation: ua-cam.com/video/6De9dKV98Q4/v-deo.html )? Wake up Scots. Stop being fooled by false speeches about the rights and protection of minorities. Save Scottish children. Rediscover your true faith and values. Read G. K. Chesterton (a quarter Scots himself); in particular I suggest his writings related to Scotland: “Edward VII and Scotland” (in “All things considered”), “The sentimental Scot” (in “A miscellany of men”), “The idols of Scotland” (in “The thing: why I am a catholic”), “Robert Bruce and his age” (in “The glass walking-stick”), “If Don John of Austria had married Mary Queen of Scots” (in “The common man”), “The don and the cavalier” (in “The well and the shallows”) and “The ball and the cross” (novel); in his autobiography (published in the year of his death) Chesterton wrote: “But on the other side my mother came of Scottish people, who were Keiths from Aberdeen; and for several reasons, partly because my maternal grandmother long survived her husband and was a very attractive personality, and partly because of a certain vividness in any infusion of Scots blood or patriotism, this northern affiliation appealed strongly to my affections; and made a sort of Scottish romance in my childhood”; his autobiography ends by recalling a quote from Mary Queen of Scots: “In my end is my beginning”.
As a Church of Scotland minister I dealt with John Swinney during the same sex marriage debate. He was more concerned with his seat in the cabinet than upholding biblical truth.

Ian Blackford has left his wife and is shacked up with another woman. He’s already been disciplined by the Church for voting in favour of Abortion in Northern Ireland. He is far from “a fine example of a Free Church Member”. As for Greer and Swinney I wouldn’t be so sure that they have had genuine conversions, that the Spirit has worked on their hearts.

Ross Greer is making it all about him. This is dangerous in a politician. There was a German politician 80years plus years ago who made it all about him and we all know how that turned out.

Jesus did address homosexuality. Matthew chapter 5. And Matthew, chapter 19. The teaching of marriage. Jesus uses the model of marriage in Genesis chap. 2 procreation, appropriation, and sanctification. What God has joined together, let no man separate. God is the author of marriage, not man. It is God, who defines marriage, not man. Only God has the right not man to change what God has instituted. The Bible describes homosexuality as a perversion, from which one needs to be rescued.
“Nothing can separate us from the Love God” means that there is no hell & No judgement! But this wonderful biblical verse is out of its context! This verse is only true if we are ‘belonging’ to Christ. Ie, one must first be a Christian by ‘God’s’ declaration, not by ‘self’ declaration. Anyone can simply ‘claim’ to be anything but with God, only he can make it so.

This is posturing nonsense, there is a great deal of difference between Christ's true church and the apostate church. If either of these men truly believed, if they truly believed the Bible..the stance that they are taking would be anathema. Please do not be decieved .
edit: sorry family party you are wrong on this. the bible didn't exist until 300 years ad. it was the mass that presented christs kingdom. satan could not have therefore quoted the bible directly to jesus.
ross greer whilst maybe a good person is not the one to evangelise christ. he will not bare any fruits. that alone puts him further away from god but it's not for others to judge but he simply cannot lead any format of a christian mission.
