I'm the same age as you are... im happy that you were able to recover and spread this message!
God bless you for what you do. Take it easy. This video hits home because on the 28th of May I lost my son’s mom to a heart attack. Everyday is priceless!!❤
i know how you feel, i have had two at 59, and am still recovering 5.5 years later. Glad to see you back.
I've had my health problems lately myself. It humbles you. I'm glad you survived it. Stay positive. You have alot of living to do!
I am glad you survived that! 🙏🏼
I’m glad your wife acted. Sounds like you’ll be ok. My husband had a stent put in last October.
Alston, as someone that has had heart surgery back on the day of 9/11, and someone now 20+ years later has had a lot of heart anxiety as of late - Now aged 40, myself, I was very worried about watching your video. Worried about my own health. Worried about your video triggering me. Worried about watching an influencer I actually have respect for and not just watch hoping I’ll find some answers about financial wellbeing, but watch and enjoy because of your realness, this video hit me hard in many ways. First I want to say thank you for sharing and I am glad you are here with us and doing well enough to share this. But equally as important, thank you for being vulnerable. Not just in sharing this information with all of us, but being vulnerable in showing a moment with your child that was clearly touching. Both to you and to me (us) as viewers. Your pure and genuine emotion. The way you felt after your child entered and left the room. I recently had a strange episode that I won’t describe here while at my brothers house. I was concerned that it was the end. I made it through it and immediately reached out to my doctor who I have an appt with very soon. But through this episode, I kept calling out, I just want to be able to see my niece again. While I can’t have children, my two nieces are very important to me. In a world where life isn’t what it once was, my industry - film, which isn’t what it once was, there are so many questions in the air for me. The reason I say all of this is because you and your video were so touching to me, and I needed to say that to you. I wish you and your family all the best. I wish you great health in the future. And let’s hope we can continue strengthening ourselves, our bodies, our emotions, our hearts and succeed in our journeys toward a better life. Be blessed sir.
Thank the Lord you’re still here Alston. Take care of yourself. 🤗🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Dude, I hope you're doing a lot better now. Heart attack can happen to anybody at any time to the healthiest or the unhealthiest of people. It's about as indiscriminate as cancer is. All you can do is keep your head up. Keep going. Keep praying and we love you.
I’m so sorry to hear that unfortunate cardiac event happened to you! Check out the ray peat forum for post cardiac event tips. It’s no diet/fad nonsense. It’s just pro metabolic non-medical forum with people from all over the globe (nutrition, etc). Stay cool and I’m glad you’re still with us 🙏🏻☀️💯
Glad you’re doing well. We’re the same age and not only do you start to notice changes physically, but you become more intentional with your time and how you take care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Money is important but not everything. It’s a tool you utilize to make your time here comfortable, but there are more important things to focus on. We don’t get this time back.
OMG Bro IM so sorry to hear that !!!! Please keep doing what YOU do! I'm praying for a full and in your time recovery!!!
Bro I'm so happy you're still here to even tell us about it. Bless you man. I'm glad you're ok. Please get well!
That must have been scary, but I'm glad you're better. I would miss your "I tried it" series.
Glad you recovered bro 🙏🏽
Rest up my guy. Take all the time you need and I wish you a speedy recovery
Continued blessings, my brother. I had an aortic dissection in 2010 at the age of 47, where they placed 3 stents. Other than having to take a cocktail of pills for the rest of my life, I am still going strong many years later. I wish the same to you!
Welcome back, Alston! Long time subscriber but my first ever comment on your channel. Just take it easy... it is just a signal to sit back and reevaluate your life. After watching your video, I know you're on the right track. My best wishes to you!
Stay strong, Alston. Sending you love and prayers. This was deeply moving. I'm so sorry that you experienced this.
Sorry to hear this big man. I wish you the speediest of recovery!
Hello Alston, stay strong bro it's all going to fine...God is taking care of you. I understand how you feel. In 2021, I lost my dad to portrait cancer and i was told I could suffer similar fate as I get older and that scared the shit out of me! 3 years down the line, I'm doing my best not to suffer the same fate in future and I am having fun with my family. You aren't alone bro. God will continue to take care of you.
Glad you're feeling better, Alston. Taking time to be more intentional and present is a good thing. I'm fairly new to your content, but what I've watched so far has been really genuine and helpful. Appreciate it!
Hang in there brother!
Taking it one day at a time
Glad you’re well brother 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Take care of yourself❤
Now I'm second guessing every time I feel what I think is indigestion.
This is scary for me cus im born in feb 85' so we're the same age, much prayers to you brotha
Thanks for sharing, I definitely needed to hear this.
My father had quad bypass, a pacemaker, and died the day before Father's Day of 2013. My heart goes out to you. Thank God you survived this; bless you. Please take care of yourself.
Thanks for sharing. My I was about 9 (same age as my kids) when my dad had a triple bypass
Hey Alston. Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm feeling a bit emotional after listening to you. I can't really say why, but maybe because I've been following you for long enough to care.
I think you're doing the right thing to slow down and be more present. I love that you didn't edit the part where your child walked in, too! It's so nice to see the gentle parental side of you and hear your sweet child's little voice.
It would be sad to see you stop doing your channel all together, but your health and your family are so much more important! Please just take your time. We will still be here, I'm sure. If you decide to cut back to only 2 videos a week, consistently, the algorithm will pick that up eventually too.
Most importantly, I'm so glad that you survived. All the best to you, your health and your family. Lots of love to you all. Janice
My mom got a pacemaker in 2017. Best thing ever. Her dr. caught an electrical "outage". No disease of the heart. She was in her 70s when she got it, and she's better for it. But this could happen to anyone at any age. The stint is very common too. Just so glad you are still with us to celebrate another day. Look at everything with new eyes. But more importantly, take it easy. I understand (sort of) about your father and you looking at yourself. That is very normal. This is your journey, you travel it as you see fit.
Pacemaker does not help your heart.
@@joytimmons if that's all you had to say, it shouldn't have been said. Alston is so genuine, kind and really cares about the information he gives, he does not make videos for views or clicks. Others with a pacemaker don't want your non-medical advice they have a professional to advice them.
I am glad you are ok. I suggest to cut down the weight lifting (as it is limited to no cardio benefits), save the 10,000 steps only for when you have no exercise planned for some reason, get a FitBit Oura or some kind of pulse tracker, start a cardio program that interests you, do that cardio program at least 30 minutes per day (making sure you are at your “target heart rate” for at least 30 minutes. Start slow and build up if you have to. The basketball is nice, but do you reach Cardio Target heart rates for 30 minutes or more? 10,000 steps is minimum movement for those that like couches it is not a requirement for cardio. It is not enough..
40% of heart disease is genetic, so you still have diet and exercise to fight it..
My suggestion for fun cardio is a “Rebounder” or “mini Trampoline”..There are a lot of workouts for it on UA-cam.. I suggest to get the non spring types..Good luck on your fight!
Oh no Alston! Sorry to hear this. So glad you came threw and you are doing better. Please rest and don't push yourself so much :)
Good to have you back and thanks for sharing such an emotional side of your life with us 🙏
Great name and thanks for watching
I am sorry brother. God bless you and glad you are still here.
my heart is with you King. May God continue to bless you and your family.
I pray for a speedy recovery man! Keep up the good work.
I am happy you are recovering and may blessings continue to pour down on you and your family.
Incredibly sorry to hear that. Definitely keeping you in my prayers 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Praying for your continued recovery and good health
Whoa, thank you for sharing. 🙏🏽 💞
Praying for you❤❤. Take care of yourself please
Praying for your continued healing and self-awareness. Glad you are taking it slow. So sorry for the trauma you experienced with your dad’s illness. Thank goodness for your wife and advanced medical care. You’re gonna be alright. You didn’t have to share this. Your transparency is appreciated. Take care and, btw…your baby boy’s voice is so sweet. Belated Father’s Day greetings to you!
So happy you’re ok! And good for you for slowing down. I wish you well on changing your diet, stress levels, and getting into a work routine that doesn’t stress or overwhelm you. ❤❤❤
God Bless you. I had a heart attack at a young age, too. Mine was 10 years ago.
I understand.
Thank you for sharing your experience and hope that you keep great health. Best wishes to you
The LAD is also called the widow maker artery. Any heart attacks in the widow maker artery are 80 percent fatal when occurred outside of hospital care. Mine was moderately blocked. I never suffered a heart attack, but my cardiologist suggested that I get a stent implanted. I had mine implanted since last year, and so far I have had no regrets. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Being you already had a heart attack, that portion of the heart was damaged, so make sure to take care of yourself.
Alston you seem like a genuine person and I feel your good vibes! Luv your content. Enjoy your beautiful family. Thank you for sharing. 🫡🙏🏼
Wishing you all the best!
Stay strong man, sending love from Italy 🇮🇹
Keep getting well!!!
I wish you a speedy recovery. Stay well!
Amen, keep the faith.
Praying for a speedy and full recovery for you!
Thanks
@@AlstonGodbolt You are very welcome!
Stay well my friend. I learn a lot from you
Get well soon Alston just remember your health is wealth . Wish you a speedy recovery
Thanks for sharing this, Austin. Take care of yourself. We'll see you when we see you.
Glad you are alright. Get back in the cockpit. Get back up and keep flying. Appreciate life just a bit more.
Stop eating seed oils if you do, I had angina for years before I quit eating them and thought I was destined for a heart attack, I switched to fats that have been eaten historically, before there was rampant heart disease, real butter, lard, tallow, ghee, and olive oil, then recently I started having sharp pains in my heart and didn't know why so I asked my wife if she had cooked with something else, eventually she admitted she had cooked with vegetable oil that day. Also if you eat alot of sugar try to cut back, that's the other thing I've done. Also three supplements that you can look into that are good for your heart are nattokinase and k2 and garlic (though id take it in its raw form instead of supplement form)
Glad you are OK and doing well now. You still have more to give on earth. -Tom
Thank you Alston for all you do. Take your time and get well, enjoy your family, because do believe me that nothing about tomorrow is promised to anyone.
That is so wild...I have a cousin-in-law that had a massive stroke too...and all he can do is swear too!
I’m glad you are ok man
I’m glad your okay
Puts a lot of things into perspective.
Get well soon and take a good care of yourself.
I hope you're ok.
I'm so glad you're physically better. Take care.
Sending prayers and encouragement. Glad to jear they caught it in time.
FYI because you asked, the red background contrasts with the blue, but it seems kind of shiny or overlit (if this is a word).
God bless you.
Hey I'm glad you're doing better and I think I speak for most of the people here when I say that it's good you're taking a step back and slowing down because you need to take care of yourself as well as you can and spend as much time as you can with your family I wish you the best and hope you have a great week this week
I’m ecstatic that you’re ok. God bless. I have been away for 6 months. Was catching up with content creators I trust and God sent me here. My brother keep doing what you’re doing and get better for family; your immediate family and your online family. Much LOVE
THanks for the kind words
Hey..Alston today I'm Glad things are ok brother just know God is not done with you 🙏🏿 keep doing your thing ..he will see you though
Thanks for sharing. Thanks for all of your informative videos in the past. I will be praying for you. Things will get better. Perspective is very important. God will work everything out for the good.
We are just about the same age, like almost to the month (probably 2 weeks apart or less). So needless to say, this is scary and a bit of a wake-up call for me. Life is precious and a gift but also can be fleeting at times it seems. I know this had to be terrifying for you, so thank you for sharing this. I am also very happy to hear the outcome was positive as well.
Glad youre ok Alston. Were the same age and i dont ever hit the gym and i drink a 12 of Dr. Pepper a day. No health problems at all but….this got me thinking…maybe i should check myself before its too late.
I am so happy you are ok. I do not know you personally, But I would feel so bad if anything had happened to you. Enjoy life to the fullest. You are ok now. And you seem to be an amazing dad. Thank you for all the info you gave us. You are a great guy! Greetings from a Dutch guy living in Berlin Germany.
I am sorry you had a heart attack. I pray for your recovery. Make sure you consume healthy diets, reduce stress, and avoid drugs, smoking, drinking alcohol, and unhealthy habits. You must consume the 90 essential nutrients, exercise, get plenty of rest, stay healthy and safe, and avoid unnecessary surgeries.
I'm always praying for you man. Always trust in Jesus!
Speedy recovery
Thanks
But sorry for your loss
You are the only person under the rubric of "digital guru" that I ever trusted. Your heart is not something to be messed with. You are still a very young man. Given the family history, you should start serving yourself first instead of us or some holy algorithm. With your obvious creativity, you will find a way to keep your business going if that is still a priority for you. Good luck!
May the Heavenly Father continue to bless you Brother 🙏🏾
You're an amazing Dad. I wish I was on your level.
Hope you are getting better
I am thank you
🙏🏼
I'm 29 and I feel I'm going to have a heart attack anytime soon
Please mind your health. My friend died of a massive heart attack at 40.5 he would've been 44 thi
I'm sorry to hear that
My step dad died in front of me and my mother in 2020 before covid
🙏
THanks
❤
Thank you
Pay special attention on what Dr. Michael Greger indicates in his youtube videos concerning nutrition about avoiding saturated fats, and many, many other foods. He offers scientific evidence data.
I was wondering why I have not seen you in a while.
1:06 2026?
Obviously, you were going through something physically and emotionally. You never started videos in a bad mood like lately.
I'm sorry you got scared. But as you know now, this was Your wake up call to prioritize your values.
As per your YT biz, you give us so much value and save us so much time-don't doubt your work. At days you rather play with your kids, do it, no guilt. Wish you and your family all the best.
Hope you recover quickly. What did they say was the cause of the attack, if you don't mind?
Blocked up
My birthday, not that I celebrate birthdays.
Thank god you survived but look , you're clearly not in great form , look after yourself bro , more fitness and healthier food , i know age fucks all of us but i hope you listen to this
Thank you for sharing. African Americans have a higher incident of heart attacks and strokes.
1:08 2026??
Yeah I caught that too.
Ok, I’m not the only one that heard that.
