Just bought a replacement cabin air filter and checked some other videos that were worthless (didn't keep video oriented so you could see clips to release inner cover). You video on the other hand was perfect.
It's nice when automobile manufacturing companies make it easy to change regular maintenance items like a cabin filter or even a heater core. And other things that are regular maintenance items. Toyota is good for that. I have a 6 Tacoma and a 22 Tacoma the 6 has 244,000 miles and still no major repairs yet only regular maintenance stuff. I bought a new 4X4 Tacoma SR5 and I kept my old Tacoma truck and I put an add a leaf on it and 235/75/15 tires on it and it looks great and still runs great.
Thanks man!! I just installed a FRAM CF10374, my truck OEM was dirty and it is a 2022 with only 14K kms. Definitely a frequent change item. Your video helped me, especially with the airflow arrows.
Yeah for real lol I'm getting my oil changed as at the dealership and they asked me if I wanted them to change my filter for 96.00 🤣 .. I was like are you serious? . Lol yeah no thanks.
the airflow is the same on all the filters but the arrow on the OEM filter is not indicating airflow - its just showing to install the filter with the arrow up.
Did this on my 2012 Tacoma in about 5 minutes. It's slightly different since you have to remove the glovebox to access the air filter trap and there's a piston holding it.
ua-cam.com/video/oXO4vhI3Do8/v-deo.html - This video says the airflow arrows should be pointing up! I started the truck and turned on the fan. It most definitely pulls air in the downward direction so your video would appear to be correct - Airflow arrows should be pointed DOWN.
Thank you for actually mentioning the air flow unlike the 3 other tutorials I already checked.
Glad it helped!
I’ll ditto that.
After countless videos you are the first to mention AIR FLOW I had mine upside down ooops thanks for the bada$$ video
Glad it helped
Thanks for explaining about the arrows and the air flow that makes a big difference and help a lot
You're Welcome!

And I thought my 22' with 15K miles was low.
My all-terrain tires still have the mold knobs on it! Something tells me they're gonna last forever...
Thanks for making this, and for mentioning the air flow!

the airflow is the same on all the filters but the arrow on the OEM filter is not indicating airflow - its just showing to install the filter with the arrow up.

I have that same glove box, and want to remove the door only. Can you direct me on instructions for that? Thx!
sorry im not sure what you mean
Good concise info. But you did miss the part where you spent 10 minutes emptying everything out of your glove box 1st.😆
Dealer wanted to charge me $60 for that. How much is the filter
$23 give or take
@@isiahmejia5121 dealers ships are horrible. Thank you
Get a k&n one for like 40$ and you'll never have to buy another one again

Nice!
Thanks for mentioning if it has an arrow only point the arrow up lol
You're Welcome!
Water is dripping on my matts mostly on passenger side and a funny whisper sound coming from glove box....

Easier than pie. The dealer wanted 90$for a new filter.
Easy as cutting pie. Just removing everything at least in mine.🤣😟😅
Every shop wants to charge you 80$ plus for this!
I believe it!
Thank you!!!
