The Dead Sea is not a family seaside resort where kids are running into the water and leaping around in it - if you go there, enjoy but be careful.
I stayed in jordan for about 4years. All the time i went to dead sea is at night. Yes, you cant sink but the salt in water is so high you cant open your eyes even when a drop get into it. As a first timer it is difficult to maneuver in the water as you cant sink but you also cannot float unless you are on your back. Urgh, ive learned by lesson the hard way. Have to be fished out from the water and cried all the way home because i thought i was going blind.
I’ve been there. You cannot sink. The water feels amazing on your skin unless you have cuts. They tell you ahead of times not to consume the water or get it in your eyes. You also have to rinse off after.

They failed to mention that currents can take you miles down the shore without you even noticing. This is not a Dead Sea it’s bed sea 🤘🏻
113° cool day for South Texas
I floated on my back and smoked a cigar while in the Dead Sea. It was pretty dope. I'm no Scientist but even I knew not to go underneath. I tasted the water and it really was bitter. I have a bottle of it for a momento ^.^
P.S. There should be instructions by life guards before entering water directly to the public.
I was there in 2014..so cool..so nice to float in a Holy Land😁
Free Palestine
I love to float on water!!!
I had so much fun there in 2017.
Gr8 place
In other words, when you’re in water, don’t breathe in the water.
Humans are interesting creatures
It’s called the Dead Sea because the city of sodoom is underneath .
Yup
I never knew that
Oh wow...I never knew that
@nadhi!!! I think you’re right!!!
It's called the Dead Sea because there is very little to no animals. They cannot survive since the salinity is too high.
In our religion it's said that Before there used to be a city with good citizens until they all Betrayed there religion and They said mean things about our God and then Our God turned the city over and all the citizen and the city remains below..
Sodom and Gomorrah!!!
I had not heard that before. Thankyou.
They don't call it the Dead Sea for no reason!
Yes, it is really dangerous. I saw my friend who couldnt swim, got panicked to get the move around, swallowed the salty water, got chocked...fortunately we managed to bring her out of the water, asked her to drink n rinse the throat...now i see this, i am grateful, she could have been dead...fiuhh
i fell over with my face in the Dead Sea 4 days ago accidentaly....went out drunk water....after 24 hours i started having diarrhea, vomiting but it stopped...then next day had fever and now just some pain in the stomach and still can't eat well. Could it be from this or did i just had a heat stroke?
YOU CAN DROWN in the Dead Sea. I can vouch for this personally....If you end up as I did like a cork floating then a small wave created by others close by tipped me over so I was upside down, head well under water. Tried for what felt like many, many minutes to right myself with my hands paddling to right me the right way up, but failed every time. As stated previously, It was Jill McCormick that righted me the right way up having my wife and Jills husband John laughing thinking I was playing the fool. Thanks Jill for seeing it as it was. Almost DROWNING in the Dead Sea.
The man reading a newspaper while swimming is he Chandler???? From F. R. I. E. N. D. S
Wth are they doing? That’s toxic! Who gets into a primordial soup like that? Not I!
It’s for bathing not for exercising. The mineral content is healing to the skin.
Ive heard its healing to
Are you kidding? Its so saline that nothing can survive in it, even viruses and bacteria.
@@jilllangman9343 ... well ya said a mouthful there! I’m convinced. I’m not going anywhere near it!🤨✌🏼
I'm so buoyant I sta floating everywhere..so all water is like the dead sea to me. I think I'll skip the heavy salt load.
thanx!!!!
Nice. I want to go there
Dead sea has quicksand in certain spots it call dead sea for a reason quicksand make gravity heavy in certain. Location it could suck you in
Despite people being warned same old story 🙄
You can float anywhere that ain't the only water I float my swimming pool
I would like to go there to.
