Prize Pools for EVO has to grow with the tourneys now. $20K for first place in a 7K man tourney is terrible, no other way to describe that. All these companies like Chipotle wanna be here to advertise, so EVO has to find a way to get them to put in money to the prize pool.

Nah, the vast majority of even Master players are not nearly on that level. If you can make Diamond, there's only a couple minor adjustments you'll need to make to get the rest of the way to Master.
When is Capcom cup? Did it pass already ?
Not CC2022. 😆😂🤣 It's CC2023, the following year of early 2024 during the same time as American NFL S.B.
AngryBird is awesome
Kakura is fucking great
Daigo still placed high
Punk still on his runs
Mena playing the game he hates
awesome tournament.
Glad to see Ken/AB finally got destroyed
I think u should do commentary for live events. Good voice and u know ur sf6 shyt
Can’t believe punk gave up another 2-0 lead
it's like his brain just turned off. he had that shit man!
Punk choked in big stages, that's always been Punk's WEAK MO. TOKIDO still has Punk's soul til this very day. Punk would only prevail the losing streak if he get his soul back from Tokido at EVO2017 by defeating Tokido in a humiliating fashion. We know that ain't happening cause Tokido is going full DEMON once Akuma is released in SF6 as the last DLC season 1.
EVO * you get payed in eXpOsUrE
😂😂
This the dude that trained Korone?
Gamers8 got the prize pool right
Well, there's no competing with Middle East OIL MONEY. Lol, all of us paying for gasoline can be called the prize pool monsters for Gamer's 8. We all went 0-2.
hearing zeku's theme makes me sad
A 700,000 pay gap between 1st and 2nd place is stupid
nah its $200000
It was great to see such high level play... Punk adapted from his earlier losses but Kakeru really showed off his skill.
Capcom Cup is so hype
you cant really compare oil money to fan funded money pool. it's nice that it will increase the competition that much if better prize pool become available. hope daigo makes a comeback. As a akuma main I would lose my mind if daigo main him in future. we got too many kens tbh it was not fun watching in tournaments
Love me some Poison theme all the time. I prefer the 5th over what seems like the 4th here. But, hey great track! JP finally taking something will remove the argument that JP won nothing before, git gud.
Now we git gud, but people will put him in S tiers?
Wait what? Evo had only 70K price pool? DO they not make money at all with the biggest live Esports event? No sponsorship? That is weird with such a huge event. Man compare with the other Esports pros, FGC players really struggle to make a living.
esport players are notoriously overpaid, why do you think esports outside of fgc is dying?
@@RackSimons I agreed, the one thing I know they paid around 80k for academy players in league of legends which is like apprentice. The point I am making here isn't the overpaid Esports, but the underpaid the struggle of FGC players.
I agree that the Capcom Cup money split is too top heavy. The only wrinkle is your argument of spreading the wealth is that it will include mostly top players who are making decent cash from gaming anyway. I wouldn't be surprised to see mostly the sand top 8 or top 16 as here or at EVO, but I do agree with you; spread the wealth more evenly.
I assumed Sony’s involvement with Evo would result in a larger prize pool. Does anyone know why that is not the case?
Sony just uses Evo as just one big commercial for Sony products while not caring about the actual FGC itself is the only conclusion that I can come to.
