Nithya Rao I loved what's up Elle! Those dance routines! The fashion one! 😂😂 not sure I have the guts to do something like that on my channel. Maybe one day! 😣
I see these comments on their videos all the time, but like seriously, how many of us are under 18 (or even 13) and don't have kids but just really enjoy watching them?!?!
I think it's also to know that parents also have to demonstrate/practice patience as well. We can't expect our babies to be patient when we aren't patient with them. This is a GREAT video!!
We did distraction games all the time as a kid, and i do the same with my kids. I spy is a favorite, however that said, i don't have impulse control. I love with adhd, my whole house does, and impulse control isn't really our thing. Games like this though really do help with that issue because we're very focused on our little game leaving less space for impulsive behaviors.

I feel like a slave to my kids! They seem to naturally think the world revolves around them - it's so hard when you have to deal with the other child or do some job. Ha - Elle, I love the idea of adding on time when they ask again 😂😂 ps. I couldn't love your aqua drawers any more, I remember when you painted it. I am constantly trying to improve the backgrounds to my videos and yours is the prettiest I've seen on UA-cam. So Sallyo x
These are great tips! I especially appreciated the tip of not rewarding them with something they asked for. So logical! Thank you for your great vlog. Mine is just at the baby stage and yours is very inspiring.
Great tips I find this video very informative. "Instead of getting frustrated here is an opportunity to have fun." I would love to make an animated lesson video on this topic.
I love tips 1 and 3 but it seems a little over the top to reward kids for doing something they should be doing anyway. Maybe I don’t have a clue because I only have a 1 year old but I will teach him to be well behaved at the supermarket because that’s just what you do, sometimes life is boring but we need to buy food to eat and if mummy can’t do the shopping then we can’t eat nice food. I know as a child my mum used distraction at the supermarket, we had a calculator and would add up the cost as we went along, it taught great skills and stopped us getting bored. If we played up then we had a warning, if we carried on we left the shopping and went straight home, that only had to happen once! Like I said, maybe I’m clueless and his look back on this idea and laugh but it worked for me and my sisters and I know other parents follow the same idea. Rewards should be for doing something above and beyond, not for doing the minimum required. As an adult you don’t get a bonus every time you show up to work on time or a treat every time you do a load of laundry so I’m not sure it’s the best message to give kids that they get a reward for standard stuff.
Hi Elle! You picked the perfect time of year to do this very helpful video. Thank You 😊 BTW Presley is a big girl like Avery now! You have a beautiful & wonderful family 💕

Hello
Creativity benefits social and emotional skills, and teaches patience because it teaches distractions and of course keeps them occupied

Who else can see the eye in the What's Up Moms logo they show at the start of the video?
Hey,,,,,, elle plz do a video in the subject of "Hubby's gift in holidays"for surprising him
Teaching distractions is also apart of writing exams, and taking part in a tournament because you need to focus on process not the end result
