Make sure the filter can handle the heavy bio load that goldfish produce. Check your ammonia levels often and preform generous water changes every week. Also be sure to vacuum the gravel to get out excess food and waste.
Goldfish thrive at temperatures between 65 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit, which is roughly room temperature or slightly below. When temperatures are too high, goldfish may become sluggish and overheat. At temperatures below 60 degrees, they may stop eating or become lethargic.
Sand is best but if you're wanting gravel you can have a bare bottom tank for a few weeks feeding them the same food every day so they know what their food looks and smells like, and then you can add gravel of a different colour to the food and they will adapt :) (I did this by the way)
@@so7iakunkun960 I found a gravel that worked perfectly. It was fine black gravel and I haven't had an issue. Thank you for the info though. Never hurts to continuously learn. 😁
This is honestly the best video ever!! I love how it’s short but for my tank I’m putting a filter and a bunch of gravel and plants is that ok?

My goldfish love eating cut up blueberries and carrots, though for some reason they won't eat lettuce.
Jess Chan my eat banana 🍌 peach 🍑 and avocado 🥑
Do you still have this set up? Do you worry about them eating the gravel?
