    During RG3’s rookie year Alfred Morris had the second most rushing yards that year behind only Adrian Peterson’s near record breaking season. The read option was deadly with RG3 and AlMo that year.

      any NFL fan with a slight bit of knowledge knows the defense is what makes a team truly elite. Tom brady spoiled these kids man, everyone just thinks pay a QB like aaron rodgers 50 million a year and they will guarantee you a franchise. Yet Russell wilson only has 1, rodgers only has 1, drew brees retired with 1, Mahommes has 1 so far but I could see him getting another, matt stafford finally got his and the reason they won the SB is because the rams defense shut down the bengals in the second half. Nick foles a backup QB has led as many teams to a superbowl victory as those guys. Dak prescott has zero, derek carr has zero, lamar jackson has zero, matt ryan has zero lol, philip rivers retired with zero, roethlisberger and eli manning and Peyton Manning managed to get 2. Teams literally dumping everything they got into one position and that one position can get shut down by one world class CB and 2 good pass rushers.

    • @blakeharris58
      @blakeharris58 2 роки тому +27

      He made a great point in that segment about RG3’s running style. He was a straight up and down track runner, very limited laterally.

    • @markphelt6395
      @markphelt6395 2 роки тому +11

      Hmmm not really. He was not the first QB to go down with a knee injury. His issue wasn’t the injury. His success was a combination of his novelty excellent play calling (kept defenses of balance) and his raw skill. But in college he wasn’t a good runner. He averaged under 4 yards per carry. For a “running quarterback that is awful. In college he constantly hit the wrong holes. And when he got to the pros he was entitled a favorite of the owner. Sensitive and vacillated between being a pocket qb (but could get the route tree and deliver the ball with confidence on third down. And being a runner and that brought about ankle injuries and concussions. So it wasn’t the injuries. It was him. You saw him after the run threat was gone. I mean even Michael Vick figured out for half a season on Philly. Don’t get me wrong, I am a redskin fan but the truth is the truth.

    • @dariusdafigga
      @dariusdafigga 2 роки тому +2

      I agree but the injuries are mostly his fault. He is the perfect example of the difference between a mobile QB and a good mobile QB.

    Flemlo knows how to bring a good video. You should do one on how Josh Allen rose to the top. From his beginnings at Firebough, to not getting any offers, to being doubted by absolutely everyone once he got into the league, to not just being a top 3 QB, but arguably a top 3 player in the NFL and taking the NFL by storm. That would be a great story to see you tell.

    What I love about your videos I they always take me back. 2004-2012 was the best time ever in football in my opinion. It's still awesome but it's just never the same. Everything just had such a feeling back then, college and NFL. Kind of felt passion, talent and heart was everywhere. Every week there was another amazing player that popped up out of nowhere and did amazing things. These videos bring back a little bit of that feeling every time.
