There is no doubt that water is very important to the human body. Water plays a vital role in every aspect of life and the body contains around 70% of it. However, it becomes a problem when the body retains excess water, which is a common side effect of chronic inflammation. This can be as a result of poor diet, toxin exposure, food intolerances and diseases like kidney failure, which is likely to impact negatively on your appearance and overall quality of life. Explained in this short video are 6 effective ways of reducing water weight fast and safe.
1. Minimize your sodium intake: Minimizing your intake of sodium is one of the important steps to take in order to reduce bloat because of its immediate effect on the way kidney controls water balance in the body. Maybe you don’t know it, but too much salt can make the body to retain water, thereby leading to swelling and bloating. It’s recommended that no single individual should exceed 2,400 milligrams of sodium (roughly a teaspoonful of salt) a day.
2. Take more water: Water helps in flushing out excess sodium from the bloodstream and this releases retained water from your body. So, you should drink at least 64 ounces of water each day.
3. Eat potassium rich foods: One of the essential elements in the diet that’s responsible for fluid balance in the body is potassium. Fluid retention in the body can be caused by low amount of potassium. Include fruits like banana, apricots, oranges, mango, avocado, and papaya in your diet, as well as vegetables and legumes such as carrots, acorn, peas, dried beans, artichokes, and lentils. Focusing on foods with potassium may help your body release excess water.
4. Engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity: One of the best ways to get rid of excessive water weight is to get your body sweating. You can do this by engaging in at least 30 minutes of exercise every week. This will boost your metabolism and heart rate. More still, sweating during exercises draws substances such as sodium out through the pores of the body, thereby reducing the possibility of water weight.
5. Consume water loss supplements: There are many water loss supplements in the form of pills in the marketplace today. You can use these supplements to speed up the water weight loss process.
6. Sleep for additional 30 minutes every day: Not many people sleep the recommended 8 hours of sleep every day. However, if you’re looking to cut down your water weight, you should add additional 30 minutes to your sleep hours. Doctors recommend at least 9 hours of sleep daily for individuals that want to get rid of water weight fast.

Thank you for the tip... Never thought about lemon water. I never had issues with water weight until after being diagnosed with Mixed Glioma/Antiplastics in the brain. It’s amazing what we can take for granted. At least I did. I pray you are doing well, and peace & love to you all.

No mention of less sugar and carbs?? Carbs in the body bond to .8 grams of water per carb and excess carbs and sugars add inflammation, this is the number one cause of water retention in western diets also.

I’ve noticed water retention on my butt and back legs and I know it’s because I haven’t been drinking enough water or exercising consistently this week, and well I’ve slept 5 max most days. I started the summer semester and it usually takes me a bit to get used to it 😅

I Lost my water weight with consuming caffeine beverages and cutting out sugar , carb and salt! But there was another thing that helped so much ! And that is Protein! such as eggs , meat , fish! But the problem was how could I digest the protein better without so much constipation or lethargy or anything else!! And boiled eggs , boiled meat fish or anything boiled were giving me constipation!! So there was a thing I did! Instead of too many protein I took a moderate protein along with a good amount of fat!! And this helped drastically as even if I took less protein bcz of the fat it got digested the best way! And got utilized by my body and my body was more efficient to digest it! And thus I lost weight and felt much better too!! ^^ I'd rly suggest everyone to do this it rly does work!!! ^^ if ur body can digest the protein better and get rid of the water weight then u can rly lose a good amount of weight! ^^ best of luck to everyone in journey!! ^^

I focused on most of these things last year and had 45 pounds of water retention still and almost died because my kidneys were so bad and I also had a seizure. All from a genetic disease.

I drink about 30-40 oz of coffee a day to keep myself going through school and work, is that a factor in my water weight? I usually drink enough water daily and have started going to sleep regularly. Should I cut out coffee completely or is there a certain amount I can drink without it being bad o my body?

You need SALT!!! This an outdated video. Do not consume iodized table salt ever. Just sea salts and Pink Himalayan salt this has no affect but good ones on you amazing minerals.

Hey i being trying to watch what i eat and stuff but its so hard... im not losing any weight , please help me .my diet consist of maybe a banana in the morning with egg , then through out the day i have salmon with avocado, and also i eat a lot of watermalon through the day as well as well as green tea , Its so uncomfortable when i urinate sometimes . you should try to eat more often, but small meals. Drink alot of water and sleep enough. Also exercising can help alot, be active and do cardios + other workouts. I recommend Gloria Song and Emi wong !! Hope this helps, good luck xx

@@vescara6911 It's not that these tips do not work, but the video doesn't advice people to see a doctor. If you're retaining a lot of water, you might have kidney and heart problems. And if you do have a medical condition, ask the doctor ways to reduce the retention without risking losing too much water (dehydration) or losing too much salt (hyponatremia). Depending on how large a person is, how much they sleep, how active they are, etc determines how much salt and water they need in their diet. The advice might be too much or too little. I'd suggest (after seeing a doctor) to drink more water, then see if it helps, then reduce salt, see if it helps, do not use meds (unless prescribed), sleeping well and exercising is always good to do. Some bloating is normal after eating a salty meal or getting your period but it goes away on it's own. If it's really bad like the pictures shown in the video, that's a serious medical condition.
