I have 8 black sapote seeds sprouted over here in Australia, I ordered the seeds on eBay from Queensland from a part of there which is a bit more like Miami in climate (tropical). Hopefully, they will grow good in my area, if they grow in California then they should grow just north of Sydney where I live. I have 12 white sapotes growing in pots at the moment from seeds that I ordered from the Czech republic in 2016. I will plant them in the ground next year when I get my patch of dirt !
I have found that when you scoop all the fruit inside out even the seeds and place them in a bowl altogether, then just start stirring them with a whisk until the seeds separate from the Pudding and it then is totally smooth velvety and does taste like an apple butter type chocolate pudding and stir in some cinnamon whala...totally yummy🥣 mix it into ice cream like a fudge effect. Soooo good. It pairs well with a teaspoon of honey🍯 in the morning
You realize your description on your site goes on and on about how this fruit tastes like custardy chocolate and chocolate pudding... but then in the video you say it doesn't taste anything like chocolate at all and is only called the chocolate pudding fruit because of it's consistency and color when ripe... so... which is it...? Don't get me wrong. I very much liked the video! Very informative and may buy some from you at some point. Your site is awesome. Just want to understand which it is, chocolate-like... or not. :)
If we say it tastes like chocolate, people get mad at us for saying that but if we say it doesn't taste like chocolate people also say that's wrong so we just say, "keep expectations low and mind open and you'll be pleasantly surprised!" A person who eats tons of chocolate will also probably have a different opinion on what chocolate tastes like compared to someone who may not eat much cacao or chocolate. We have eaten TONs of black sapote, and each one has a slightly different flavor. Sometimes they are super sweet, but mostly the flavor is quite mild in comparison to a chocolate pudding you might find in the store.
It may have been okay, it has the strings of fiber but when you whisk it in a bowl, the seeds separate and those strings become velvety smooth as pudding texture, remove the seeds and taste it now👍🥣good luck next try
very weak description you did not even describe the taste, also you should eat what is insider in addition you have to tell us that its like avocado you have to keep it for couple of days until it looks like the one you have

Reminds me of dates with pudding texture, i really love this fruit.
You said you'd describe the flavor... pudding isn't a flavor.
How do I know if it's rotten? Mine has some white specs on it not sure what that means, but it tastes great
hi, I would like to know after how many years the plant begins to bear fruit

@@MiamiFruit Cool! Thanks
@@themack1363 I disagree. Anyone who thinks it tastes like chocolate is confusing their visual sensory input with their taste sensory input.
@@MiamiFruit Can you juice a premium Soursop or does it not have as much juice than a juicing Soursop?
I got mine from you guys and it tasted really gross and was less pudding texture and more of a stringy inside ... what does that mean?
Was it ripe? You must wait for mushy softness, otherwise this type of fruit will NOT taste good and will have an astringent like effect on the mouth.
