I am 32, almost two years natural and I would definitely wear this style. I love to wear styles that enhances my blackness. During my first year of being natural, a fellow black female coworker with relaxed hair, told me that I looked like the people from the color purple, I told her that was exactly the look I was going for. Being natural makes me feel empowered, some see a watermelon, I see a crown.

Besides my aunt, you're the first person I've ever seen braid using the over-hand technique! Pretty cool. I also did this to my nieces hair and I added a jewel in the center where the the braids meet. Really pretty.

Wonderful design I love the way that every step was detailed. Plus the design speaks volume to me as making a crown for a little queen. I love it all the work that you put into it, just an excellent job . It makes me want to to do my god-daughter's hair so bad.

So, I will say now, I am white and Adore this look! She looked so happy at the end of the video. I've always been fascinated by braiding techniques and love to just watch people braid. I was wondering about that style of braiding too. At first on the heart tutorial I thought it was underbraiding. Neat as heck tho. Love the styles and she's a doll.

I actually really like this hair style. Some people said that her braid pattern makes her head look like a watermelon - and it does. When I saw the product my first thought was, "that is so cute - baby melon." Anyway - doesn't mean it's ugly cuz it looks like a watermelon pattern - it's super cute. I would love to do something like this on my kids one day!! And lil momma was like SO patient to sit through that long process. My only cringe-worthy moments were using that metal rat tooth - I'm sure it didn't hurt her, but it sure looked painful...yikes. I looked at her scalp and it wasn't bright red or anything so I know she wasn't being scratched by the comb. The braids did look tight, but that comes with the territory. Like many others here, I was most fascinated with your braiding technique! Please do a tutorial on how you braid - I've never seen that before and it looks like something maybe the Nigerians or Jamaicans do. I can see that's how you get that narrow to wide braid look and would love to learn it!

ThaSikeChick It is meant to look neat, but I know when I braid, the parts are clean but the braids are just tight enough to stay put not kill the scalp lol. You just gotta pay attention to how tight you pull the hair. I love love love this style...I just wouldn't have the patience to do my daughter's hair like this.😥
