Part two of the confederate homesite privy dig. We found a lot of old bottle and old shard but we still don't think we've found the oldest privy to this civil war era home where a confederate lived both during and after the civil war. But we'll keep probing and scanning the ground in hopes of finding it. Hope you enjoyed this video.

Did yall ever find any of the older pits there? Some of those bottles were as late as the 1920s

I'm glad you put things back together. I know that broken things have little dollar value but it still has historical value. I have a salt glazed pitcher that my great grandma server lemonade from that is chipped and has a hair line crack. No one in the family wanted it so I'm blessed with it.

Hate to criticize but it's hard to see people standing too close to the hole is risking caving in on your buddy in the hole.

Awesome finds man love the videos you got to watch out on those deep bottles putting them on the surface to fast pressure and temp change will make them flash crack I ruined one of my best finds before I figured out what I did

Thanks . Glad you like it. Yes it's a 1st edition.. and sorry I forgot to take the tag out. My mom did those years ago. She looks them all up on Abe books. And value may or may not be correct. But I know that's not why you'd love it.. great video man.

Great dig Zach, the tooth looks to be a horse or mule, the white milk glass maybe a Ponds cold cream or similar brand, oh and the chamber pot will make a wonderful fruit bowl for the table! I think you'll find some fine pieces yet.

Please do yourself a favor, buy a good long screw driver , heat and bend about 3 inches to a 90 degree .Now you have a proper tool to dig around a bottle . Stop trying to get a single bottle out with your small shovel . Pros use good tools . Just trying to help you guys out and speed up the dig .We use to dig two of those pits in one day . ** back when i was younger !ha

Another great video Zach!! I agree with you where it comes to cleaning relics. Too much cleaning, only serves to remove history from the item in question. Keep the uploads coming!! I look forward to each and every one of them. I hope you and your family are all doing well. G B.

I was gonna tease you about you can't read, you're just following your finger pretending but i was afraid you would not find it funny and would think i was insulting. What a wonderful book and excellent finds. I live in Oklahoma so evidence of human occupation can be difficult to find. I do enjoy watching y'all find stuff!

Love your videos, but you really need to widen those trenches you’re digging and/or use shoring. You won’t be able to unbury your friends and family in time. I’ve been in the rescue business for a long time. Trench and home collapses don’t end well. I wish you the best!
