also as an aside, before they started playing songs this session they couldn't get the mic on matt's flute to work so he started testing it by picking it up, holding it to his mouth and saying "doot doot? flute flute?". i felt you all should know this because it was very cute

Also: sheer shoutout to the spoken phrase "For a little longer than the market dictated a flock of seagulls would be allowed to keep their career going", because I know logically that 'A Flock Of Seagulls' is the name of a band, but for just a second I didn't, and I still completely accepted that phrase anyway
