btw mob choir (the band) was excluively made for these openings since its composed of mobs own sound and ost designers aswell as voice actors
from what I heard even the animators were involved, so basically the whole team that works on the anime got together

Two cool secrets, the 99.9 is a homage to different styles of animation and the full version of 1 directly ends with the starting beeps of 99.
BONES: "how do you think we should animate our Openings?"
Animators: " we should animate them with Yes."
Not to mention that 1 is also a homage to the creator of MP100, ONE.
Also, 1 could be a alot of things. Unity is a big theme in the season. 100% = 1, which is when Mob explodes of emotions (or the 100 in the title if stou so will). Also 100% is also Mob finally releasing all his emotions and becoming fully 1 with himself, the 1 and only 1 Mob.
1 is such a powerful title for the final opening

The opening songs is engineered to induce anxiety (the counting in opening 1, the staccato riffs and drums in opening 2, the distortion, way words are being shouted to the beat and the chanting in opening 3), which could only make perfect sense if you watch the show.
And you are correct in a way. The sensory overload in the opening animations are meant to be intense in order to contribute in inducing more anxiety
I don't know why the producers would want to induce anxiety for such a wholesome show. Yeah, there are fights and tense moments, but why would you want such anxiety unless the main character is someone who experiences sensory overload himself? I interpret the psychedelic style of the openings as matching the psychedelic vibe of psychic powers, especially when you look at the auras. The other two openings are just rock and fast-paced, so I also don't see how those songs would cause anxiety for the average viewer. Opening one just uses the motif of counting up with the lyrics and increasing pitch, just like the show has the motif of Mob's increasing percentage. I don't mean to be mean in this post, I just think that's an inaccurate interpretation. Sorry if the songs give you anxiety tho

It didn't really induce anxiety to me tbh, i was much more in awe and vibing to the music and the art, and gushing to the fluid animation 🥲💖💖
You got a source on that? Because Stacatto, Chanting, are very normal features of music.
It would be a very strange choice for an opening to generate anxiety. Especially given I haven’t really heard hearing the songs as being uncomfortable or putting them off the show.

What i like from mob openings, it's the first and second's are prepared for looping, but the third is not because is the end.
I think the third one ends with the beeping from 99 so technically you can loop it to 99
Except it ends with the beeps of 99, so is meant to be listened as a loop
If i am not wrong, that beeps happen in the full version, not the normal opening.
In terms of the constant rise in 99 it’s actually intended. The entire thing with Mobs abilities is that the more intense or heightened his emotions get the less he has control of them. So that’s what both the countdown and the continued rise were supposed to portray
It's cringe to say this but... The show is super symbolic and highly emotional and special...also being fun

Not saying asking famous bands or singers to sing the theme song is bad. But I really like how Mob psycho made their own choir to keep the theme song consistent through the seasons, and the lyrics talks about the story better

considering you touched on some of the series' themes without knowing the material, I'd say you're pretty sharp and the openings were well-crafted

best show ever, very good at portraying emotion (in my opinion)
The pacing for the anime is overall very fast but it feels very layed back despite that, 10/10 would recommend
