Hi, Just saw your video. You didn't mention LRV of BM Navajo White. Would you recommend for North facing room? Want warm and creamy, not cool/cold and stark.
I have been following your channel for a while. I have learned so much from you. I have a question if you do not mind answering. I have an open concept home. All my walls and trim work are done in accessible beige. My hardwood flooring is all throughout the main areas are graphite gray as well as the cabinets. I have granite for my countertops which I love, Luna Pearl. My fabrics in all my furniture are linen. I have cream/oatmeal color in my area's rugs. I know my walls have a green undertone. What is the best accent color should I choose with these neutral colors? Thank you for your time.
@@janiceestes9518 You really have a neutral canvas at this point. What colors do you gravitate towards? Perhaps find a rug with some color in it as a jumping off point and then identify a color in the rug and repeat all around the room. That's the easiest way!
Very hard to see without seeing the space. You don't want something too bright but also need enough contrast, so it will be a lot of trial and error. If you need more help, I am available for virtual consultations!
Hi I enjoyed your video. I’ve been looking at paint chips for months. We have an open concept home , 2 story family room. I love warm colors . We need an update. We have Sw restrained gold on most of our walls in main living areas and kitchen. We have sw Dover white trim color. I do t think I will like picking a paint color thst is too light ? We live in the northeast and have long winters here’. . I was excited to see you showing yellow paint ! I have seen other pics in decorating magazines showing some yellow paint. I’m thinking of painting with SW Netsuke ? It will be lighter than what we have but I’m not sure if I’m going to feel like I’m updating enough? I feel stuck . Our family room and kitchen face south . So we get a lot of light on those areas . Would appreciate thoughts and suggestions. 😊
I am working with warm oak fixed features and putting in a new kitchen. I am considering SW Dover White. Do you think it will be too creamy? (Are house is really a 100 plus year old farmhouse.)
What to do when you have 90's orange toned oak floors in an open concept condo that has white cabinets with carrara marble countertops? I feel I have such a ying yang situation. I don't know how to bridge the warmth of the wood floors with the coolness of the marble counter tops and bright white cabinets. It's a struggle...lol
I just got rid of my creamy yellow, “ Maniquin Cream” by Benjamin Moore,in the kitchen, and family room “Golden Straw”, Benjamin Moore. The 2 rooms are conected- open concept. Got so tired of the yellows. Now have Behrs “Mocha Light” in 1/2 bath, kitchen and family room. Love it! What are your thoughts on this color. Could you please check it out. It looks amazing with white accents. Thanks. Loved your video.Paint is so hard to choose. It looks different on every wall. Lighting is everything, I truly believe.
@@homelikeyoumeanit Yes. I’ve always loved the taupes. I have Chocolate Mousse by Benjamin Moore in my Living Room, which is a separate room. It has pink undertones, but I use some pink accents in there for spring/ summer. Thanks for answering me.
The paint swatches I've been considering are all LRV 18-32 😆 Maybe this is my cue to play with some lighter ones before committing. Didn't even know I'm dramatic!
If your kitchen cabinets are white and you want white cabinets in your LR I would keep to the same white, but otherwise, no. Things just need to flow with your decor.
Our living room furniture is gray and our area rug is gray, black and beige. What colour would you recommend for the walls? It is an open concept which goes into our dining room, kitchen upstairs and downstairs. Thank you in advance just subscribe to your channel.
I'd love to know what the gray with blue undertone paint color is at 2:35 - it's the only one you don't say what the color is - I'm thinking of doing BM Stonington Gray and wondering if that was it :) ps LOVE ur vids THANK YOU

I love your videos! But you keep saying “this will be great but only if you style it properly” ahhhhh how do you know! I have grey tile unfortunately and am terrified of it
I am renovating a building and had the fellowship area, SW Neutral Ground on the walls and SW Alabaster on trim, doors, cabinets. It looks fantastic. Warm but light and bright. This is when I wish UA-cam allowed pics in the comments.

I really like the white colour in your background wall . May I know what colour is that ?
Benjamin Moore white dove
Another great video to enjoy!
Great video. I current bought a new sofa in a Puddy. I currently have Wilmington Tan from Behr on our walls which I love. Any suggestion?
Start by sampling grays with green undertones. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/fHdhbbaoCBY/v-deo.html

@@homelikeyoumeanit I am thinking accessories and maybe new area rugs in my main living area.

I would love to know what neutral 'white' you would pair with yellow'd trim and doors that have to stay. Feature wall will be french beret.

SW Netsuke is great, it's got just enough beige to tone it down. LRV of 63, which is perfect for living space!
Thanks so much!

You need to test some cream colors!

That's a nice color with a good LRV for living spaces. Looks like it has some taupe undertones.

I thought so - love that color!
If you have LR cabinets in an open concept can you paint them different than your kitchen cabinets?

I’d start with by sampling one of the two greiges on this list and see what those do for your room.

I didn't hear you mention any paint colors that will work with Modern Costal colors. Please do a vid on that.
Which coastal colors are you trying to pair with neutrals?

Maybe a greige is the best option for you? Then you can repeat those warmer tones.
