I have sympathy with our host about knowing faces. I don’t know why but very early on I had trouble always knowing if it was Rora or not. Ironically she has become the bias for me, although I love all 7 of them!

I always love your reactions ❤ and It's okay if it remind you of other YG artists, like Blackpink, some people get upset, but there's nothing wrong with it. And It makes a lot lf sense, since YG is a company with a very distinct sound identity, and they like all their groups to have this formula, influenced by hip hop, R&B, rap, and electronic music. They call this the YG DNA, which also includes the way they sing, rap, or perform on stage. Many of the company's artists share similarities in this, for example: Park Bom’s voice from 2NE1, Rosé's voice from Blackpink, and Pharita’s voice from Babymonster, they have a lot of shared characteristics.
And this also applies to the company’s producers; Teddy doesn't work with Babymonster, but Choice37 and Teddy have worked together for many years, from BigBang and 2NE1 to Blackpink. Teddy Park produced all the BP music and he has moved on to and is running the Blacklabel company so he has nothing to do with BM. However, Chouice37, the main producer of BM has also worked on some BP music but I believe what you are hearing and talking about is the YG formula. The YG formula consists of...1. intro; 2. first verse; 3. first pre-chorus; 4. first chorus; 5. 2nd verse (usually a rap verse); 6. 2nd pre-chorus; 7. 2nd chorus; 8. bridge; 9. outro
I believe this type of formula, although not exactly the same, is used throughout the KPOP music industry.

Rora (Korea - 2008: 16 years old) trained for 6 years: Vocalist, Dancer, and the other Maknae (she’s only 5 months older than Chiquita).
Real name: Lee Da-in (pronounced as “Dain,” all together).
With Rora, I’ll give you the information in one text because she has a lot of history, personality, and many things to talk about.
I’ll start by explaining the reason behind her stage name:
Dain is Rora’s real name; Rora is her stage name. YG gave it to her during her trainee days. It’s a diminutive of Aurora (Aurora Borealis or the princess). He said he thinks Rora can become an artist who shines brightly like an “aurora” if they develop Rora’s beauty in every way. But normally, in a more intimate context, which the public probably won’t see, all the girls, the staff, YG, and her teachers call her by her real name.
The same with Rami, they call her by her real name Haram. And with Chiquita, her real name is Riracha, but they call her Canny, which is the nickname her family gave her in Thailand.
Now, all kinds of information about Rora:
Rora is the second youngest member, but before Chiquita joined YG as a trainee, Rora was the youngest and remained the youngest of all the trainees for a long time.
Before becoming a trainee, Rora was already in the entertainment industry as an actress and model, and she already loved music, which is why YG was the one to contact her first. Other girls decided on their own to go to YG’s audition. With Rora, it was different, as YG contacted her by inviting her to audition. They sent a message through her mom. However, in Rora’s case, besides going through those three stages, she explains that between each stage, she had more tests or auditions since her case was special and she was also very young, around 9 years old.
In her first audition, she got so nervous that she couldn’t sing anything she had prepared and just cry. So they told her to sing something she felt comfortable with, and she ended up singing “It Hurts” by 2NE1.
Now, regarding Rora’s personality and how she is with the members, she always protects and guides the entire group and makes sure they are doing what they have to do. She also takes care of them, she is soooo funny, mature, but relaxed, which is why the members joke that she’s like the dad of the group.
Several members have said in interviews, in videos shown at fan meets, and in Rora's wikibook that she guides and leads them a lot, and that if a member had to be the leader, it would be her. I find this funny because she’s one of the youngest in the group (she’s only 5 months older than Chiquita), but it’s cute.
And I understand why, like, she may only be 16 years old, but she has worked very hard since she was little. Rora is still young but has more experience and career accomplishments than many adults. For example, she has already acted in K-dramas, modeled for brands, clothing brands, toys, done commercials, been the face of toys in Korea, appeared on television shows (like cooking competitions), she cooks and bakes very well, she’s intelligent, she has participated in international science competitions, all this before being a trainee or bedut. And she also has good communication skills. She is the one in charge of public speaking for the group.
As a journalist from TeenVogue who interviewed them said about Rora:
“She speaks much like she sings-deep and calm like a soothing melody, with an underlying intensity.”
As Pharita says about this skill of Rora: “Born to be!”
And as Rora herself says:
“We took speech classes during our training,” Rora smiles, “but I've always been good at it.”
She also has so much charisma, an incredible sense of humor, and like Rami and Ahyeon, she also attends one of the most prestigious art schools in Korea (SOPA) under the Practical Music Department.
She has debuted in two different groups: Babymonster and U.SSO Girl, which was a children’s group that also included Hyein from NewJeans, with whom she has a very sweet friendship that has lasted many years.
She also comes from a talented family, her mother is a pianist, her younger brother plays the violin, and Rora also plays the piano very well and the guitar. She has participated in piano competitions. There are photos of Rora with pianos from when she could barely walk. It’s like the object that characterizes her. If you watch the music videos, she often appears with a piano because she loves it. She is sooo talented. As you know she also sings excellently and dances sooo well too.
So it makes sense that some members think of Rora as a possible leader. I feel that Rora is like the true all-rounder of the group since she’s the member with the most experience in different areas. And there is still everything missing that she hasn’t shown us, like maybe composing, writing, or producing, or many other things, but we simply haven’t seen it.
She also works hard, is disciplined and mature, but sometimes that too is the reason why some members have to remind her that she’s still a child and that she can behave like one whenever she wants.
Like Ahyeon, when she congratulated Rora on her 16th birthday and wrote to her:
“Dain (her real name) has already turned 16, she has a strong sense of responsibility and does everything quietly. I really like the mature Dain, but I want you to know that when you have a hard time, you can come back to me as the 16-year-old Dain (who is still young and a child).”
But that’s her way of being. According to the members, she’s like an old soul hahahaha. They say that Rora has never acted like the youngest. They joke, telling her that she has a “grandma style,” and maybe she is an old soul because, despite being very young, when she sings, she has a beautiful low tone full of soul and emotion that is not normal for her age.
But she loves her job, and you can see it in her face. When she’s on stage, she always radiates a beautiful light. Her smile and presence make you feel happy just by seeing her. She has a healing vibe.
As Jennie said in the last evaluation:
“Rora, you’re so cute. You have this energy that makes others feel good and refreshed. That’s what I felt the whole time watching.”
In songs like "Drip" or "Sheesh," you won't see Rora having the most parts, like for example Rami and Ahyeon, but Rora's parts are very beautiful, with that deep voice tone that calms you, the queen of bridges and pre-choruses, but in songs like "Love Maybe" or "Love in My Heart," her voice stands out a lot.
And yes, she is also a savage. She says what’s on her mind without thinking about it. If she has to defend herself, she will, and if something bothers her or she doesn’t tolerate it, she will show it. Also, her sense of humor is sometimes blunt.
