On most of Lindsey's songs he plays the guitar like he is tickling the strings. I agree that his playing is top of the heap and his singing is top notch too.
The drama and pain and nastiness and ego and power run deep in FM, unfortunately. Well--what used to be FM, since Lindsey got himself fired, unfortunately. Such a shame. Unbelievable here, and really good as a band on the 2014-15 tour. Saw em twice.
Unfortunately Buckingham is a control freak and was driving Nicks crazy with it. Yes it takes two to 'tango' however 'control freak' personalities wreak havoc with their partners and jealously only fuels the resentment. Buckingham got offside with Mick Fleetwood too in this era you could see it in Fleetwoods eyes in a performance of this song in this era, and I swear if Fleetwood could have gotten his hands on Buckingham...well...Make no error the dynamics in this lineup of Fleetwood Mac I don't believe any other band in the world could copy...2 couples going through hell off-stage, while Fleetwood could only emulate it as well - he's had 3 marriages...basically dysfunctional as off-stage, yet geniuses on stage...I don't believe the best shrinks in the world could have helped any of them either...Though I will say this, while there was so much coke getting snorted by group members, and possibly other mind bending substances who knows, one ain't in the real world. Only when we are straight & sober can we function optimally. Drugs and alcohol overdoses has taken way too many of the world's greatest musicians over the years. Thankfully Fleetwood Mac members have lived and still live their durations without overdosing. Wow this version is taking off as I type this, Buckingham's axe is screaming in agony...
Can’t believe they fired this guy!! Buckingham I mean😃😃😃 soooo ridiculous..!! FM without him.. orrr Stevie for that matter.. just not onnn!!! Him playing snd Stevie with her cool witchy dresses tambourines and all the groooovvyyy hippy stuff!!! Soo great!!!
@Silver rone, I think even Buckingham would admit he's not in their class. However, he's a very melodic player that has his own "voice" on the guitar. It's enjoyable to listen to.
Lindsey has his own style. You can';t compare this with Hendrix, maybe you can with Clapton, but i agree, Lindsey Buckingham is at their range, if you want to measure their talent.
Silver rone I agree. I play guitar and you can't replicate his sound without really fast fingers. He made a style all his own. Bleed to Love Her is just amazing.
Oh puhleeese!!! Listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn and then say that. What an idiot. He's rated 100 on the list of guitar players for gods sake. Not only that he's a fucking finger picker which is basically a BLUEGRASS STYLE. Give me a break.
@buckinghamfan68 After viwing this up and coming/would be guitarist should now know what a guitar solo should be and how it should compliment the song.
@Julie Pritchett, he's a very melodic player and I enjoy listening to his solos. However, I think even Buckingham would agree that he's not in the same class as Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Gary Moore.
It's wild that Buckingham could be "fired" from Fleetwood Mac. That's just not possible for the feller who wrote and sang (listen to the isolation track of his vocals) the ultimate break-up song and played one of the best guitar solos ever.
what a crazy mix of emotions...i wonder what it must feel singing to your bitch everything you feel "you can go your own way...GO YOUR OWN WAY" "shaking up is all you want to do" and she has to sing it too....i used to think that this was just another good song ...i didn't know that lindsey was pouring out his feelings for the woman of his life... knowing she was slipping away....and all you can do is write one of the most beautiful songs ever written....
I think there love hate relationships and the songs written because of it is why this band is so good. All pure emotion. They played and sang there hearts out.
That was an amazing guitar solo! What's the story behind this, where they filming this for a video release? looks like they were also rehearsing filming it with multicamera's etc.
Really? Fire Lindsey? Someone was on drugs for sure. Who really wants to listen to his songs by someone else? Not remotely the same. I'll stick with FM the years this lineup was together. Smh.
I'm a huge fan of the band, particularly Buckingham, and this is among my favorite songs, as well. That being said, the vocals were real pitchy here, and as good a player and writer as LB is, his guitar playing isn't within a light-year of guys like Clapton.
please. take your criticism elsewhere. This is a recording from 1979. Lets get some context here. Its not a studio. He's within light years of Clapton.
Hard to of overstate how important LB was to one of the greatest bands of the last century. Simply a genius.
On most of Lindsey's songs he plays the guitar like he is tickling the strings. I agree that his playing is top of the heap and his singing is top notch too.
Damn. That was incredible. Lindsey tore up that guitar solo. Some of his best playing I've heard.
Lindsay is always the greatest. I could listen to him for hours
holy smokes. lindsey is simply incredible! good. lord. what. a. talent.
Like a fish in water - such fluid, confident guitar solo.
Awesome guitar solo looking good Lindsey ❤️
One of the best lead riffs he's ever done.
Loving U is the right ....thing to do..
😉 Brilliant!!
And not one look at Stevie... !! His pain went straight through his fingers to the guitar !!!! Great music... !!!

@@jonherz7207 and now Christine McVie is gone…☹️

ah back then when they were a proper band. The Tusk tour London England, happy days....

He just slays that guitar! Especially not knowing how to read music...the chord progressions are off the chain!!
Bob Donald Never
4:00 onward… the man is a beast! Such skill!
Fantastic "rehersal". A couple of minutes is all I need with this tambourine and I'm good to go.
Holy crap....that solo! Was feeling inspired that day!
Darn! And these were just rehearsals? Such a quality group.
Such raw talent! In my world I cannot understand the thumbs down 🙄
The greatest ever~ never forgotten....
Both oNE OF A KIND!!!!
Awesome. Lindsay Buckingham gives all of us who refuse to use picks something to aspire to.
Dude plain and simple finger picking is for fucking BLUEGRASS!!!!!
Damn Lindsey was beautiful, I could have stared at him all day....❤️
Great song....
That man knew how to play the guitar, thank you Stevie for letting him practice ☺️
This isn't rehearsal footage. This is sound check footage. This footage was shot in an actual arena on the tusk tour.
sorry, but people talk of hendrix and clapton etc ,but buckingham blows them away, unbelievable talent
silver rone funniest thing I've have read today

thnks so much for your videos, great work Jackie =)
Genius LB
Fantasztikus
LB👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 FOR ME THE BEST
Yes!!
@buckinghamfan68 After viwing this up and coming/would be guitarist should now know what a guitar solo should be and how it should compliment the song.
This was great! However, my favorite version is the one from 20 years after this.
Lindsey Buckingham is the greatest guitarist I know of.
I can see that this video is full of idiots. Blowing off Clapton and Hendrix and calling this guy the greatest. OMG!! LMFAO!!
Then you know zero about music fool.
@Julie Pritchett, he's a very melodic player and I enjoy listening to his solos. However, I think even Buckingham would agree that he's not in the same class as Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Gary Moore.
You better respect other people's taste for yours isn't universal. You don't own the truth, sweety. Sorry!
@@johnt7630 the other 4 guitarists however aren't in the same league as Hendrix. He'll always be in his own league of talent
It's wild that Buckingham could be "fired" from Fleetwood Mac. That's just not possible for the feller who wrote and sang (listen to the isolation track of his vocals) the ultimate break-up song and played one of the best guitar solos ever.
When Bruce Hornsby was going, I imagined that he would do a version of this song. I thought his voice and piano went well with this song.
what a crazy mix of emotions...i wonder what it must feel singing to your bitch everything you feel "you can go your own way...GO YOUR OWN WAY" "shaking up is all you want to do" and she has to sing it too....i used to think that this was just another good song ...i didn't know that lindsey was pouring out his feelings for the woman of his life... knowing she was slipping away....and all you can do is write one of the most beautiful songs ever written....
Sad isnt it . I wish I was on Lindseyºs place ... i like Stevie soo fucking much....
It's "shacking up & packing up is all you wanna do..."
Actually, it's "packing up, shacking up's all you wanna do"
I think there love hate relationships and the songs written because of it is why this band is so good. All pure emotion. They played and sang there hearts out.
Lindsey is the best guitarist!
Just a ridiculous guitar solo for a sound check.
Even so, I'm glad I got a chance to hear and see it.
In life we practice as we play.
Please someone tell me what Lindse's guitar is that he is playing
Who is the rhythm guitarist in this clip?
Lindsey's tech Ray Lindsey
That was an amazing guitar solo! What's the story behind this, where they filming this for a video release? looks like they were also rehearsing filming it with multicamera's etc.
My guess is that they taped the rehearsals so the band and crew/lighting could go back and watch for self-critiquing purposes
who's the third guitarist on the far right?
Lindsey's guitar tech Ray Lindsey
Lindsey is good, but what about the 'back up' guitar(s)?
Who’s playing the acoustic guitar?
Lindsey's guitar tech Ray Lindsey. Ray would do the extra guitars in the background during concerts.
Really? Fire Lindsey? Someone was on drugs for sure. Who really wants to listen to his songs by someone else? Not remotely the same. I'll stick with FM the years this lineup was together. Smh.

This is so terrible live
No fluidity just very staccato plus he's hit about 10 clinkers during the''awesome solo''. You have no ears. Could that solo be anymore basic?????
Let's see how good you can fingerpick a solo on an eightball with your ex standing next to you. I'll wait...
That's why he's a million air and you haven't got a pot to piss in.
Go listen to Voo Doo Child by Stevie Ray Vaughn and then compare and tell me LB is better. What a joke. My cat could play this solo,.
