A little tip for working with hot glue - you can also lick your finger before pressing down on the glue. This will prevent it from burning you and from it sticking to your finger.
I think I actually do this at 3:15 , I don't know if anyone caught it. I didn't mention in video cause idk how people felt about spit in their wigs, but it makes me feel better that I'm not alone 😂🤣
I love the idea of this being similar to why Jinx keeps her hair in pigtails in the show-- I can't imagine her being able to stand how tangled her hair would get if it was down all the time.
The acrylic paint idea is kind of brilliant. While you could just dye the wig there's the risk of the heat messing up the fibers and the color not being quite right so the acrylic paint is a good solution. While I don't plan on cosplaying Jinx, like you said, I definitely learned some things that never occurred to me in my own 16 years of cosplaying. Thank you for continuing to share your knowledge and being a force of good in our community. c:
Damn you really look as If Jinx stepped out of the show and into the real world! And that wig looks like it literally grew put of your head it looks so good! Everything about this is bloody brilliant! Edit: watching you mention the struggle in styling it really makes me wonder how Jinx manages to keep her long pigtails looking tidy.
SOOO impressive!! It's super helpful to see how you extended the hairline and styled those gravity-defying bangs. I'm surprised the scissors didn't get stuck to the hot glue at 7:03 😮 I also appreciate all the warnings/reminders about tangles when working with a long synthetic wig! As always, your use of affordable and accessible supplies is ingenious (never would've thought of using craft glue to prevent flyaways!!). I know it still takes a ton of skill and patience for you to create your amazing cosplays but your tutorials really lower the barrier-to-entry by educating people that they don't need to invest hundreds of dollars in professional-grade tools and materials.
Talented... pfff you are more than that, thats amazing you Got Jinxed jinx!!! the best Cosplay ever made so far! really gratz I never be impressed but you made it!
This was such an amazing wig having already seen the final outcome. So much respect for your talent and process, even being a bit nervous at the start.
I literally just destroyed a wig trying this so you came out with the EXACT tutorial I needed! Thank you for all that you post you are an amazing artist!
Ok, that hot glue hairline technique is really clever, and as someone with a bigger than average head (23" without my hair) who needs more space to make it fit comfortably I will probably be using this on every wig I make in the future.
Awesome technique for such a long wig! I purchased a jinx wig a while ago and just left it in the bag because the hairline was just cheap. This video really helped me gain some insight to style it to fit my head better! Thanks For sharing! 💙 was worth the wait!
I'm convinced Alyson's transformations are so good that she could commit crimes in costume and never get caught cuz she looks completely different irl 😂💙
I'm not even into cosplaying but your intro was STUNNING. CAN I JUST SAY the way you did your makeup is impeccable??????? The shadows, the highlights the contours they ARE GIVING 😳🤌 It deadass looks like you just stepped out of arcane wtf. I can only aspire to be as good as you are at literally anything one day
When you created the new hairline I was in awe!! Such a smart idea to get the exact shape you needed. I can't wait to try this technique with my next wig!
This is amazing! I’ve been so curious about wigs and wig styling, I’ve never done it before nor do I wear many wigs for my cosplays as I’ve been so tentative to try, but your tips truly make me feel a lot better about trying!
why it looks so easy, when you styling wigs, or make cosplays, or make up... wow! really greate job!!you gave me so much imput for my cosplays in the past, thanks for that !!! ^^ do your thing:D
Dryer sheets can help keep some knots at bay while you're brushing it out. I just poke the brush bristles through the sheet. But you don't want to use it too much because it won't hold hairspray as well afterwards. But if you're going to glue it, it doesn't matter much
I was curious about the wig you used, and once I saw it was $15?? Even with 2 as a back up thats only $30? Thank you for coming up with budget friendly builds like this because it's so cool to know you can make something so amazing with cheaper materials : )
Awesome tutorial ! I wouldn't have thought of the fabric extension to glue thé New hairline, and the craft glue to stabilize the braids (definitely going tu use it on my long braided wigs!)
How do you change your face so much? I know your makeup skills are extraordinary but you mange to look like different people every time. This time I thought I was looking at a 3D model from a video game, not a real person. Just amazing.

i used to do this all the time whenever i used hot glue omg
I’ve seen tips you can put on your fingers to protect them next to the hot glue in the store.
There are silicone thimbles you can get. You'll still feel the heat through them if you touch it for too long but it's not as bad
Thank you for this! I’m almost 30 and just learning this from you now. 10/10 tip thank ya 🥲
Oh my gosh you look exactly like her with your makeup and costuming. This is heavy duty and I aspire to it! Jynx come to life!
Honestly THE BEST jinx cosplay I have seen so far!!
I love the idea of this being similar to why Jinx keeps her hair in pigtails in the show-- I can't imagine her being able to stand how tangled her hair would get if it was down all the time.

this is one of the best cosplays I have ever seen
The wig was amazing, but the makeup? Damn, that was another level, like you look exactly like her. Impressive.
Serious uncanny valley vibes of you portraying this character and I love it! Great tutorial!!
Damn you really look as If Jinx stepped out of the show and into the real world! And that wig looks like it literally grew put of your head it looks so good! Everything about this is bloody brilliant!

I REALLY thought at the beginning that was a CG movie 🤣🤣🤣 Perfect 😍🙏🏼👁️👄👁️

Alyson always has the most unhinged way of styling wigs ever and it somehow works brilliantly every time I love it
This is terrifyingly good
Talented... pfff you are more than that, thats amazing you Got Jinxed jinx!!! the best Cosplay ever made so far! really gratz I never be impressed but you made it!
I know I've said it before, but I still think your JInx cosplay is the absolute finest I've seen yet. Seriously- thank you for bringing Jinx to life!
You were made for this cosplay. You did so good with all the elements of the look💜
What a motivating phrase: "let's stop procrastinating and get it done!"
This was such an amazing wig having already seen the final outcome. So much respect for your talent and process, even being a bit nervous at the start.
Holy smokes, this looks incredible. Not only is the wig work impressive, but your makeup is spot-on. Amazing job!
I literally just destroyed a wig trying this so you came out with the EXACT tutorial I needed! Thank you for all that you post you are an amazing artist!
Amazing!! You did it again!!! You are totally hidden in your transformation. Your eyes don't give you away in this one. Well done!!!
Dang this is phenomenal work! the make up? the hair? absolutely 10/10 cosplay!
I was so amazed at the intro i spas thinking man those graphics are really good. But it was you!!! 💛
I just came here to say that is a great cosplay! You nailed the look!
THIS TUTORIAL IS GOIN TO SAVE MY LIFE. I’ve been struggling with my jinx wig so bad!! Thank you so much!!
i love how u show the finished product at the beginning. very cool jinx wig! thank u for sharing ur progress.
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS AHHH!!! I just checked yesterday to see if you uploaded it and today's the day 😂😂😂
Ok, that hot glue hairline technique is really clever, and as someone with a bigger than average head (23" without my hair) who needs more space to make it fit comfortably I will probably be using this on every wig I make in the future.
Wow! Just incredible! The final editing. The fact that you made the set. The way you move. Chefs kiss.

I never thought about using glue to keep a braid together and free of stray hairs! Definitely remembering that for future wigs :)
Damnnnn I thought this was a legit animation..girl you BADDDDDDDD 🔥 🥵
Hey Alyson
I am running out of words to describe how talented you are.
For today it is a huge Wow.
Take care
another good way to manipulate the hot glue is with a silicone finger tip cover. Hextian, a doll customizer, shared this tip a while back.
woah I hope they hire you for makeup/special effects if Arcane ever gets a live action movie
I'm convinced Alyson's transformations are so good that she could commit crimes in costume and never get caught cuz she looks completely different irl 😂💙

Am I the ONLY one who thought the start of the video was CGi/SFM?
the makeup is insane 😍😍😍you nailed everything
omg your creativity never ceases to amaze me 👀
i appreciate that everything you do is affordable too lol
Not me thinking this was CGI
When you created the new hairline I was in awe!! Such a smart idea to get the exact shape you needed. I can't wait to try this technique with my next wig!

This is amazing! I’ve been so curious about wigs and wig styling, I’ve never done it before nor do I wear many wigs for my cosplays as I’ve been so tentative to try, but your tips truly make me feel a lot better about trying!

I couldn't tell if you were real at first at the beginning of this video lol
Ironically enough, this whole thing seems like something Jinx would do XD
Hah! I 100% agree
When I styled my Jinx wig I honestly almost threw the entire thing out of the window after I had brushed all knots out to find MORE KNOTS!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that had trouble with that 😂😂
Dryer sheets can help keep some knots at bay while you're brushing it out. I just poke the brush bristles through the sheet. But you don't want to use it too much because it won't hold hairspray as well afterwards. But if you're going to glue it, it doesn't matter much
@@martinsdontjump Thanks for that tip I will definitely try it!
This is fantastic. Your makeup on this is impeccable and you look just like her.

i thought u were CGI LOL. the cosplay is that good
This was so much easier than everyone else's tutorials using taky glue. I don't know how that stuff works for them, I also don't have the patience
Your channel should have way more views! You are really talented
Awesome tutorial ! I wouldn't have thought of the fabric extension to glue thé New hairline, and the craft glue to stabilize the braids (definitely going tu use it on my long braided wigs!)

Wow! Excellent work!
Low key didn’t realize it was irl at first
Just stunning and unbelievable at the same time.
How do you change your face so much? I know your makeup skills are extraordinary but you mange to look like different people every time.
This time I thought I was looking at a 3D model from a video game, not a real person. Just amazing.

Finaly some Jinx wig that looks fine. That original is disaster. :D Great job there.
Awesome tutorial! I will try this method for my Goldilocks wig, as this one also needs a lot more real estate towards the front 😄
What type of stretchy fabric did you use and where did you get it? I just don’t want to buy the wrong thing . Btw great tutorial this is a lifesaver!!
