Cant someone make this show in the u.s.? We need this daddy, uncle, granpa love. We need to show the softer side of men. Show how men can also care for children and the fact they love it as much as mommy.
I’m not sure that would work since this show relies on stricter, more traditional male/female roles in the family that is more common in Asia but is not as uncommon in Western ones.
This was my reaction when I first watched this show! Even though there are different expectations and cultural practices in parenting , I think the U.S. would benefit from having a show that shows off they journey of fatherhood.
@@sherryillk your comment makes no sense because 1 traditional roles for parents is that the father figure is the breadwinner and goes to work, and the mother is in charge of childcare and housekeeping. And this show if anything breaks traditional norms because it majorly is centered around the dads doing childcare activities and being attentive with kids. 2 This family in the way they’re raising their kids, if you’ve watched them from the start they are not raising their children to fit “traditional male and female roles” Anna has always dressed them gender nuetral and doesn’t limit her children to traditional gender roles

In Western countries, we've already experienced that shift where fathers are more involved in their children's lives so this type of show wouldn't work as well here because it lacks that disparity. And your comment about Anna is especially relevant because she is a Westerner who lives in an Asian country and because of her Western culture upbringing, is raising her children to be different.
