- #farmlife #farming #dairymilk Looks like it might be the end of cropping season for us so we decided to Use our “free time” 😉 to clean up the natural disaster created by two messy farmers! 😂🚜❤️🇺🇸
The Big Allen wrench is for many gearbox drain/ check plugs on various older implements
Ahh! Good to know, thanks!
ok you had me at "tornado"...my experience of 78 years is that Maine has never had a tornado...good one !
About that broken wrench, a lot of thrifty mechanics would take the side grinder and cut off the boxed end and drill a hole in the end to hang it up.
Here's a tip about tool boxes with socket sets, torx bits etc.
Use a magic marker to mark the top of the box with the word "top".
This will stop you from spilling the contents and saving you time reorganizing it.
That's exactly what I did with my socket set not that long ago as I must have opened it upside down about a hundred times over the years! 🙈
That is a very good tip, nothing more frustrating than having to reorganize a bunch of sockets!!
On black plastic I use a yellow steel ballmarker pen or snowpake liquid paper.😊
Taylor you have a nice Thanksgiving day and have fun with the cows 🐄 and calefs and bulls
It always feels good after yea, clean-up tools and work area. When you're in a rush, things never get put back where they belong. I love it when all my tools are where they belong. So good!
Your shop is missing 14 semi complete tractors and impliments in various stages of rebuild. Plus the requisite piles of misc pieces that may or may not go to them. Not sure you can actually call it a farm shop without them, lol.
awesome vid Ms Taylor!!! looking good as always! oh if that leatherman has any issues you can send it in to them and they will take care of it ! they have a lifetime warrenty
I never miss a video but like every single one to see how different it is there compared to south central Minnesota. One thing with the glass board you put on the walls if you do not use stainless screws they will rust and stain and rust off over time Taylor. Some reason I enjoy every time you look and talk about the barn sign.
Thank you for sharing! And glad you're enjoying the power greaser and other new power tools. About 2 years ago, I started getting some too. Power greaser, impact wrench, smaller impact wrench, etc. Smallest investment you can make that improves quality of life. But still an old timer that knows how to do without. 😂 Also, when you live in a northern area with snow, it's important to learn to enjoy it! Looks like the snowmobiles can help with cabin fever. 😊
I just glad to see there are small farms alive and doing well.
Absolutely!! God bless the family farmer out there!!🚜🇺🇸🐄
Ritchie makes a great waterer.
That window and wall look great.
I always have a Leatherman on me and one in vehicles, they are handy, especially in a pinch.
Shop looks great but ..... If you're anything like me, you won't be able to find anything where you thought you left it 😁😆.
Good morning farm girl! Miss hanging out in the barn.
Morning! Definitely the time of year for more days spent in the barn!!
Was my favorite time of year! Just as the season was changing
Okay. I have to admit this, loved your smile when the sled lit up. You Rock!!!
😅 nothing better than the sound of a 2 stroke snowmobile. And the smell! Thanks!!
Great job cleaning the shop Taylor and Brent
I thought you meant a real tornado which sounded very unlikely. Good job. I try to keep after things so I don't have to go through that. Sometimes it actually works.
Great shop clean up, good job Taylor ❤
Nice work on the shop - looks like you could even fit a tractor or two in there!
Yahoo!! You could actually work on machinery in there now !
When you said shop got hit by a tornado, I thought you meant literally. We dodge tornados in the Texas panhandle two times a year, spring and fall. Watching y’all fire up the sleds brought back memories. Had a Scorpion back in the day. Actually I have a collection of vintage sleds. People ask why does a guy from Texas have snowmobiles. I tell them it snows at least one time a year here in the panhandle. Thanks for the ride along.
No just a tornado of messy farmers! I don’t know how y’all deal with tornadoes every year, we had a mild one about six years back and it scared the crap out of me!! Brent talks about the scorpion he used to have when he was growing up all the time! Nothing wrong with a collection of vintage sleds if ya ask me😉 even a dusting of snow is enough reason ☺️. Thanks so much for watching!
Good Evening Ms. Tay, omg, the title of yesterday’s video really threw me for a loop. I thought the shop literally was hit by a tornado but as soon as I watched the video it was very evident what you meant. Too funny. I really appreciate the fact that you are all hands on deck - you don’t back down from nothing. I really enjoy the things you think are funny and your mannerisms really show through. Love it, the humor, the hands on, the down to earth attitude. It’s all so good. Keep it up and Thank You as always for another great video. Now just waiting for the next video to come my way. Have a safe and productive rest of the week.
Nice video, Taylor!! Always good to do some cleaning and organizing - the shop looks great! I have watched quite a few videos and you folks are busy for sure. With the milking and chores connected with 70 cows plus field work, that is a lot! Good on you two to keep up with it all! And videos as well! Take care! 😀
Oh no, NEVER throw a old wrench away. Half of it is still good and those sizes wrenches are expensive. Cut the bad end off and now you can slide a pipe over the end and get some major torque on a bolt that does not want to come off. You could even cut more of the wrench off incase you have a small spot to get into where the full length will not fit. Hope you kept it. : )
Hi Taylor, the morning milking all done and its time for baling hay but the rain stopped it again. The milk room wall looks good, so the next job is cleaning out the work shed. Just finding and putting the tools away is a good job to get out of the way and hopefully no more repairs for a while. No snow where I live but I would love to ride on a snow mobile, they look like fun. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
No, you don't know where to find anything. That's gonna be interesting.
That looks like a nice shop now. Where you can get something inside and work on it. That's the way a shop should always look so nice
Nice job, Taylor and Brent..
The shop looks good. Thanks Taylor 🙋♂️🐈🐈
Love your videos, I grew up in morrill maine, on a small dairy, my dad milked 40 with bucket milkers, no pipe line, and this was the 80's, your videos bring back alot of memories, of that area
Nice job well done
Thank you, feels great to see it clean! I just hope it lasts 😉😅
Cleaning the shop start left to right. Do all three tractors have tool boxes on them. Use the duplicate tools for the tractor boxes.make a list of the tools that you don't have but need like the grease gun so we know what some of us can send you. Big smile after the snowmobiles started.
So you don't over winter the wrapped hay ?
I was under the impression that it turned into something like silage......pickled hay ?
Yes we do use it over the winter and it is exactly the same idea as silage. Fermented in the plastic. This stuff we fed was not wrapped in plastic just baled and fed straight to the cows. Thanks for commenting!
The shop looks great. If I clean up my shop I never remember where I put stuff. 😂
Thanks, I know what you mean 😅
Great video Tay, fall shop cleanup is not fun after a long summer lol 🤗
Thanks! You are very right!☺️
@@tayfarmsyour welcome always 🤗
Good morning Taylor love your videos 💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍💯😍
The girls are looking great Taylor 👍. It's a credit to you and Brent and your husbandry skills that keeps the girls and the young calves looking so happy and healthy 😀. Great job and well done folks
Thank you very much from all of us in Ireland. Please stay safe folks and kind regards from ireland Patrick Brazil 😂.
Thank you so much! Hi to everyone there!!! We love you all and are so grateful for your support and kindness! Your farmer friends from Maine!!
@@tayfarmsWhere did you passby?😢💔🥀
Leatherman is the best!! My anvil is a 6ft. piece of railroad track! We had a kid that worked for us and rode his snowmobile up and would put it in the barn by the back door to keep it warm, one night he opened the door and tried to get his machine running, but wouldn't start, so he holds the throttle down and cranks it up and it started but the throttle stuck and zoom it was gone across the cow yard and crashed into the stone wall! The funny thing was he was tall and skinny, and he running after it!🤣
That was really fun to watch Tay. Great job!
I’m glad! Thanks😀
Great video Taylor work shop looking good everything in its place reminded on my way to mine
Roll on Sunday 😉
Right on!
Ye done a great Job on the workshop. I was so pleased when ye decided not to throw out them old wrenches. (in Ireland we call them spanners ). The reason I say that is if there is a nut needing opening in a hard to get place( eg. the bottom of a fuel tank )you can cut an old one short how you can get more of a turn on the nut each time without destroying you "good spanner" . Then make a spot for the cut spanner how it can be a go to tool for that job the next time.
It would be nice to get some overhead doors put back in, would be nice in the winter season for storage or projects. Still nice to find the floor every once and a while!
😂 you two kids look like your having a great time playing with those rides ❤
Always!😉😊
That brings back memories of our farm shop and the rare number of times it got a good cleaning and reorganization. It is funny how we have good intentions to keep it that way. It feels good to see it like that.
Some times you just have to stop and clean the shop especially now for me because I’m in a wheelchair, and I usually throw things I haven’t used or broken away and then miss it
ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS TAYLOR
Shop is looking good.Always lots of work to do on the farm. Thanks for the video. Its was fun to see the snowmobiles started.
When it is cold a warm bale is nice to unroll. Nice job cleaning up in the shop, it is one of the things that are easy to get behind on. Thanks for taking the time to do the videos. Stay safe and healthy Tay.
Looks good Tay @!!
Thanks!!
Awesome job on the shop clean-up!! I'm somewhat obsessive-compulsive, so having all my tools in their place is very satisfying.
Brent's welder ac dc? Dc makes overhead and vertical work "easier" Take some thick "scrap" and give it a go! After some practice you could "saved that wrench. Good work!
its not "just a barn" thats your office! looks good btw ... t&b at it again!
That is very true! 😉
You have 8K on a 2 stroke sled? And never been rebuilt? Thats in sane!!!! Sledding season is coming. I hope it is better than last year.
Yup, she’s a tough old bird! I hope we get plenty of good riding in this season too!
Got so worried when I saw Hit by Tornado,,,then I realized was really actually Hurricane Brent damage,,😂,,love u both❤
Good morning from Wisconsin,
Your shop looked a little bit like mine. A little messy but everything in it’s place. Sometimes it’s easy to grab a tool when you are making repairs or adjustments and then then just leave in the place you were working. Now that your done with your shop do you want to come and help clean up mine. (LOL). You made this video fun to watch and it looks like you and Brent were having fun at the end . Farmers gotta have fun too. Great video. Keep smiling and keep farming. Hope you and Brent have a great weekend. 🚜🐄😉
Awesome video again Taylor thanks for sharing. What a transformation with the workshop you both did a fantastic job. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Morning Taylor, shop looking great. Will make the next few repairs go so much smoother. Thanks for sharing your morning with us. Best wishes to you and Brent. Deb
Representin Tennessee on the back wall, I see. Glad we could contribute.
😂
Cute hard working farm girl!!!!
Great video, Taylor! I know you are not ready to see the weather turn cold, but at least your snow mobiles are ready. 😊 Take care, Taylor. 🏍🇺🇸🎒
Thanks! Gotta have something to look forward to when the snow starts falling☺️
... Sleds ...!!!... YAY ....!!!
I smiled 😊 knowing that you 2 were thinking about having some fun in the snow after a very busy year. Keep on smiling and enjoy farming 😊
Enjoyed your shop cleaning. I am forever trying to get my shop areas cleaned up and things put away. Doesn't always work but I keep plugging away. Always good to know where your tools are. Can't use them if you can't find them.
Glad you enjoyed. I think shop cleaning is a never ending cycle 😅.
Out standing. I'm impressed. Can't wait to see the Oct. 12, 2024 follow up. lol
A girl and her pliers, someone is after my heart😂 can you do my shop next? Great video, take care🇨🇦👍❤️
Gor all those cases i would recommend using a sharpie to write whats in them saves time when looking for tools not used regularly
... next step .. take a leaf blower and dedust the whole place .... looks 100% better .. job well done .... thx for the share .. as always ... never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans .....
You gave me a heart attack, I thought a tornado hit yall 😕😕😕🙄🐄🐄🐄, i hope i still win fan of the year award 😁😁😁👍🤭🤭🤔😕🙄🐄🐄🐄
Hey Taylor
Enjoy the education about green hay , wow great job on the milk room wall a window , can’t wait to see you all to install the water trough . The shop was definitely in need of organizing great job looks great ! Thanks for sharing your day in life ! Ski Mobil’s are awesome
Watching and listening to you both work. Reminds me of myself and my gramps. I would do something great or smart. He would say, "I knew I hired you for some reason "... Lmfao... He raised dairy replacements. I did as well. He didn't pay me... Lmfao ❤😊
Really enjoyed the video Taylor! It's so satisfying to clean up the shop and organize the tools. You and Brent have nice looking snow mobiles. Thank you for sharing your journey!!! God bless you all!!!! Eddy
Again, another great video. No matter what you do things always get messed up. Nature of the beast. I do pen turning and no matter what, I always have to go in every couple of weeks and do a thorough cleaning. i hate messy shops. Your shop is looking good. It never stays because of the work that sometimes has to get done in a hurry. Farming is not an easy job, but it is rewarding. Lots of luck to you and Brent. God Bless.
Good job cleaning the shop. Now you won't be able to find anything. LOL
Good job getting the sleds started, i had the same MXZ that was in the back, fun sled, vary fast
Thanks for sharing
Love your videos.
So satisfying watching Brent and you clean up and organize the shop. You had been talking about it for a while now. Good job guys. Love your channel Taylor!
Great video Taylor
I bought a giant big husky combo box and i filled it up now and i need to get another big box to add on too all my snap-on tools
My IH has a drain plug for the transmission and the final drives that uses a large allen wrench. I have a small shop and seems like all the junk ends up in there. I've got so many projects going on just haven't had time to clean it.
Impressed
Hi again Taylor. Today October 12 is National Farmers Day. Thank you and Brent and your families for all your hard work and the long days nourishing us and the world. Love your videos and content
You'll have to do a video on snowmobiling you'll have to race your boss
Hello Taylor a organized shop is way better. Just remember when done with your tools put them away "yeah thats easy said" i have not seen our bench in years in garage lol. Have a great day.
What happened to the guard from that grinder? Find it and put it back on!
Way to Go . !
Thanks!
Dairy barn burnt down in '64 when the hay caught fire. Never knew what started it, for a long time I've wondered if it was high moisture hay.
hi, the one problem of having a clean shop is, there is lots of room to put stuff.
Tell me about it!😉
@@tayfarms an FYI starting your sled for 30 sec and shutting it off rusts the cylinders, its best to let it warm up to dry out the moisture in the engine.
it makes condensation in the cylinders then makes rust
Nice job. Can I get you to come to Wisconsin to organize my shop? Love the videos.
Yha the white wallis called puckboard
Job well done
おつかれ様です、作業場所とても綺麗になりましたね!作業しやすいと思います、皆さんで、冬は、モービルで楽しんで下さい、いつもありがとうです。🙋

Taylor, does the old dial phone still work? And I saw the big speakers by the door, was Brent into loud music when he was younger? 😅
Your barn is lik my garden shed 😂
Nice vid! Stay safe!
Thanks, you too!
never throw away a broken tool. put them in qne place and use them to make custom tools. Bend , cut , weld to fit.
Good Morning Taylor. Out of all the videos I watched I just now noticed the old phone on the wall....talk about old school eh
