I was so afraid for you while you were walking side by side with the cars. You truly tackled that hill like a champ lol. I absolutely refuse to trial internally solo. You're incredibly brave!

Found your channel because I was considering a visit. Not sure anymore. Very surprised I expected it to be on more cosmopolitan eg, St. Barts or even St. Martin/Maarten. Thx for the upload!

Dont want to discourage from visiting but if you dont have your own means of transportation it could indeed become challenging. So maybe find a besty that drives😅 if you dont want to driver. Thanks for watching

I had a similar experience with taxis in Troyes, France. I went to the supermarket and bought a bunch of stuff and figured I could just jump in a taxi back to the residence I was staying at. Nope. Everyone looked at me strange and said I could find taxis at the train station. Well walking there made no sense because it was at least as far as the residence. I did a slow crawl to the residence with my bags. The next day I had to go to the train station anyway to buy my ticket to Paris. I walked there and took a taxi back. I got a taxi number from that taxi driver and was good to go from there. I could call and arrange trips.

Well thats very possible. Some smaller towns and villages in europe have less commercial/public transport options.

Taxis in Martinique does not drive around like Paris or new York cause most of martinicans own a car and so for Taxis is not profitable
that the Raison most of them stay at the airport or in downtown fort de france .Martinique Public transport is one of the best in the caribbean ,you have small busses who's driving you all over the island until 10 PM .
do not tried to compare a big city and a small world like Martinique . next time be better prepared before your trip madame .
but we welcome you to martinique .

I guess everyone in entitled to their opinion I actually found the public transport in St Lucia and Barbados better but again I guess its subjective. Thanks for watching

Until recently the island never had 'public' transport per say, only private minibus companies that were at war for decades until the government had enough and decided to launch its own service, which also took forever. Traditionally the locals have relied on shared cabs and hitch hiking (Uber is illegal). But as the commenter said, car is king in Martinique and the traffic hurts not only tourism but the economy as a whole. You're welcome to try your luck again later, when the newly implemented bus service has improved.@@Liesel81-across-all-borders

The language wasnt really that much of a barrier to be honest of course its not the same thing as being able to start a conversation easily with everyone but it worked

Good narrative but the first 6 minutes which was set indoors was a turn off. It seeemed more like a lecture and quite boring. People are interested in the outdoor experience which could be accompanied by a voice over or narrative of sorts. Next time, skip the indoor room lecture and just do the outdoor experience plus voice over. All in all, not bad.
