Sometimes we run into big problems and have to leave our home, but this week we’ve got a new van! We’re excited to show you the ins and outs of our new van conversion and take you all on an adventure in this off grid tiny house! These last few weeks reminded us that we love this minimalist lifestyle and that van life is for us, as a couple we both enjoy living in a van full time so much. Our Journey! How did we get here?
In the winter of 2019 we moved in to our self built van full time to begin living, working and travelling Canada. We quickly fell in love with chasing our dreams of adventuring off the beaten path, living off grid and being self sustaining. We drove our van thousands of miles through various countries-Canada, USA, Mexico & Guatemala. All of which we documented here on our channel, be sure to check that out! After many years on the open road we found ourselves 15 acres of remote woods on the East Coast of Canada where we are building a homestead and renovating our fully off the grid cabin. We are diving into this chapter of our lives in no experience, we're so happy we can bring you all along as we learn to do it all with our own two hands. it looks like you are on Chehalis lake...the name of the lake is different than the creek....I have been camping there for over 30 years and love it so so much!!!.....there is a beautiful site that is on a small spit on the lake that has the best views for the sun rise....spend a few days enjoying!!!!

There are different types of usnea depending on where you are. Here in northern VT it grows in the pines. I always have a jar of tincture on hand for coughs, and upper respiratory junk...

I girls. I’m from Cork in Ireland. We have a thing that you can only get in Cork and no other part of the country. Potato Pie. You get them in chippers. You’d have to look up You Tubeto se how to make the best type. Basically it’s spuds with herbs in batter. The best ever

I just did that last week, it was sooooo beautiful!!! Highly recommend it :)
I have a great vegan recipe for you guys I just kinda made it up one day. Sautée 1 red onion diced, in a little oil of your choice not much. Then I add 1 can of young jackfruit in brine rinse it cut it up add it to the pan. I use about a tablespoon of cumin seed, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of garlic and onion powder stir. Then add I can of rinsed black beans and 1 can of rinsed garbanzo “ chick peas”. Then add 1 small jar of any salsa you want. I can my own so I use a pint jar. Simmer for about 10 minutes. It is absolutely to die for. You can use it as taco or burrito filling. I like to make some vigo yellow rice and put the mixture on top then sprinkle with cheese, tomatoes lettuce and avocados. My daughter who’s an EXTREME VEGAN and a chemist has convinced her mom that a plant based diet is the way we were intended to eat. Bon Appetite I hope you give it a try.

The beautiful dogs look especially happy to be outdoors again! Try sourdough bread, topped with hummus, artichoke hearts and sliced tomatoes grilled until it’s warm and melted together.
Have been watching a handful of Canadian van life channels and you have a lot of people lusting after Canadian scenery now. Am so appreciative. It is beautiful! Most of the channels seem located in BC.

I have a Jackery 500 that I got as a gift but have never used, even though I own four travel trailers. When I saw this video, however, I misunderstood you to say Jackery products were 50% off and ran to their website only to learn of my mistake. Guess I will try to use the one I have before springing the big bucks for a larger one 😉

We have a dish that is like hummus, but made out of mashed white beans with oil and garlic, and a sauce of fried ognions and tomato sauce. Vegan and super good!
