She didn't know about how much he struggled not to and how he was pretty much the only Ganja asides from Vueko who really regretted Irumyuui's torment... Only found out when it was too late. I'm sure she now sees him somewhat differently from the others, just like with Vueko, and is glad she knows about both of them being there for her mother.

He objectively did not eat 'a lot' of the child stew, because we literally saw him looking very very frail and starved compared to the other Ganja.
