Hey guys, moving forward I am introducing a new language to the channel. Unless a player is a rookie, I will be adding what year they were in when they played the respective game. This will help us keep organized moving forward. For example Steph is in his 15th year. Therefore. You will see this written as Steph¹⁵. I hope you understand. Thanks. -GOAT.
its obvious you take this serious and are dedicated to making this a very high quality basketball channel. You'll be at Million+ subscribers eventually.
Excellent choice of players, especially when you consider the positions they play. I'm a recent subscriber and have thoroughly enjoyed what I've watched so far. Your videoes are really well done.
Since I didn't play growing up, I haven't been able to really grasp what is going on in the plays. Hockey, football, baseball are all easy for me. This channel breaks it down in a way that makes it much easier to understand. The speed and complexity of the decisionmaking is really hard to see for the untrained eye at full speed.
I started watching analysis videos like this one recently and found myself interested in basketball for the first time in my life. It was the kind of thing I knew was happening but I couldn't follow so it wasn't accessible to me
@@GOATiology tee hee hee... I don't get the trend of everything being so funny? Not to mention, living in Denver and watching 90 + percent of the Nuggets games, this "joke" isn't even accurate, even though it was before last season.
what a joy to watch, the level of passing and rotation in these 2 teams games are so enjoyable to watch. I rarely even watch live because I love replaying the plays 😭
I just gotta say, you’re really good at this. I know it sounds like a basic compliment, but I watch a lot of UA-cam and a decent amount of it is basketball-related. You’ve got great commentary and storytelling. Keep up the awesome work!
Hence why I don't watch nba legacy media, such as ESPN. They are focused on views, likes, shares so they make outrageous claims that are meant to provoke audiences to respond, share, argue, etc. A Smyth, Porkins & the gang are well known for this. They are NOT ANALYSTS; they are SHOCK JOCKEYS!
No ones gunna mention the way he specified the year of the player in the title? I’ve never seen that before and I love it. Feels like it would make text-communication way clearer. I hope it catches on.
Great show. Awesome reads and analysis of the game. I know this was not the angle you were looking at, but I think more ppl should acknowledge KCP for his overall work on Steph, who went 6-17 and keep an eye out for MPJ leveling up this year now that he’s had an offseason where he can work on improving himself instead of just recovering. He is physically stronger this year and looks like he added 10 pounds of muscle. Denver is 2 games ahead of their pace from last year and a big part is KCP and his shutdown perimeter defense that did a great job of Steph, a great job on SGA, and forced Luka into 8 turnovers despite him having good scoring numbers.
My man GOAT hopped on the scene out of nowhere, and you've gotten so many ball fans hooked in already, including me! Love your great analyses, keep up the great work! 💜🦁👑🏀🔥
Love this commentary! Wish you would have added the defensive stops by both teams in the clutch to highlight their defensive iq too. Steph intercepting Jokic's pass to the corner, and Jokic stealing the pass to the baseline cutter.
If you were to honestly keep up this level of enthusiasm and professionalism and analyzing skill I pretty sure you will 100% have earned the title GOAT as a channel. Dont be scared to throw in some humor in there!
BTW, Steph was 6-17 in this game. That’s good news for the Nuggets, bc they played him as tough as anyone has in this game. And good news for GSW, bc they held their own in Denver.
@@amai-w8f People dont realise basketball is trending bck to a big men game. You got Jokic, Giannis and Embiid, the past 5 MVPs all big men and the next gen is Victor, Chet and Cooper Flagg. Its a big men league.
@@amai-w8f Yeah, kids nowadays watch Steph and learn how to shoot 3s and handle etc. from young. Then some of them turn into big men Centers with all that skills in them. Thats how you get unicorns like Victor, Chet and Cooper Flagg soon. They learn all these skills from young and apply once they turn 7 foot. On the other hand, short point guards also have the skills but they'll never have the height. You can teach skills but you cant teach height. 7 foot Jokic can learn to shoot and dribble, but 6 foot Curry can never be 7 foot. Thats why basketball is a big man game and has been for a long time.

San Antonio Spurs passed the torch to the Golden State Warriors, now the Warriors are passing it to the Denver Nuggets. These 3 teams have had the most beautiful offenses I've seen.
The San Antonio Spurs set a high standard with their beautiful ball movement, which the Golden State Warriors took to another level with their sharpshooting and pace.
Great video! I did notice at the 5:30 mark of the game you said, “with 5 and a half seconds left..” but you meant 5 and a half minutes. No biggie, but I did notice that!
not to repeat what so many comments have already said but seriously you have so much potential. the quality of your work is already on par with some much larger channels. so excited to watch you grow!
I used to nod my head when everyone said that Jokic isn't athletic. I have come to realize that he actually is very athletic but he uses it in smart ways. He keeps the game at HIS speed, not other players' speed. He doesn't jump high but he is a) limiting his risk of injury and b) doesn't have to jump because he boxes off and positions himself so well.
Absolutely, your observation about Jokic's athleticism is spot on. Jokic may not fit the traditional mold of an athletic NBA player known for explosive dunks or high-flying plays, but his basketball IQ and strategic use of his athleticism are exceptional.
Jimmyhighroller and you are amazing. I would suggest making your openings more provacative and some better background music. Maybe a clip foreshadowing the result of thr game or a highlight with a iconic track like jimmys trap sax. That would complete your already phenomenal episodes
Very nice, thanks. This is the peak of basketball now. The outdated one is played by the Lakers. Clay should somehow get back into rhythm and enjoy the game again - after all, he has nothing to lose, might as well.. Of course this is easy to say.
