It's not getting brain damage. It's freaking out which can cause death cause they are being put into a different environment very quickly. And they are also scared cause they are with other fish that are known to kill each other. And yes years will get taken off of their life cause of the amount of stress caused on such a tiny creature.

@@dusktildawn2428 This is very harmful to fish. I am only letting you know for educational purposes, but the plastic contains toxins that can kill a fish. Fish also need large aquariums and proper tanks. If your son still has the bottle, I recommend buying an actual tank that suits the type of fish’s needs and place the bubbler in it instead. They’ll live a lot longer in good conditions. ❤️

Fish need a big tank. And no not a fish bowl a actual tank. Bottles can be toxic and having a bunch of them in one bottle can cause them to eat each other depending on what type of fish they are. They need a filter, a big tank with lots of space around it and a lot of different plants. Make sure to get the right type of fosh so that they wont harm each other
