Agreed, crushes are normal. My mom has a degree in human sexuality. It’s developmentally normal to like boys whether she is allowed to have a boyfriend or not. They could inflict feelings of shame and cause dysfunction later in her relationships by saying it isn’t allowed.
Yeah it's a bit weird, i am by all means very conservative on these type of issues but it's healthy for young girls to have crushes, it has been a normal part of emotional development since the start of time, we are a social species at the end of the day.
