I carry the same pee bottle as you. In fact, I think you gave me the idea for the collapsible bottle as opposed to the hard Nalgene I was using. So far I have had two pisasters!!! I find I need to blow into it to expand it before use otherwise the collapsed sides don't let the pee go all the way to the bottom fast enough to stop it backing up and ending up all over the place. I don't mind blowing into it when it's clean but after that....Any tips or is it simply a case that size matters?
LOL! Been there done that. Yes, I always leave a lot of dish soap in after washing it out. When I store it or when in town on a long hike, I clean it, then leave in some soapy reside. That seems to alleviate the jump or swim problem. Keep Smilin'
I sleep with my food unless in grizzly country. Not that black bears are harmless, but I have dealt with them forever and find that most of the time they are not going to be a problem. I have had black bears in camp, but have always been able to scare them off with volume control. If they want my food we are going to have to negotiate. Grizzly, different story. They do not negotiate. Keep Smilin'
Always love an umbrella. Such a useful piece of gear. Something comforting about having a small haven from the rain or sun while you hike.
I agree. I use mine for sun as much as rain. Keep Smilin'

I know everybody has their own method of food storage ...and some hang their food and some keep it in the tent with them...what's your method?
