We have to be real about this, I’ve been a Raider fan since the early 70’s. The only highlight reels that I can remember come from the teams of the 70s and early 80s. We have been a dysfunctional franchise for a long time and I can see the frustration that he had with this team. The man is still young just like a lot of people that’s making comments about him. I think he’s upset because he can finally see this team going in a positive direction and deep down he wants to be a part of it. Just like an old Ex that knows she / he let a good person go. 28 was a great Raider but 8 wasn't the same guy. All this talk about how we don't have a RB since he left is ridiculous. He only averaged 3.5 YPC last year which shouldn't be too tall a task for White and Mattison. Part of last year was on the OL but a lot of it was him coming in out of shape. I've been a fan since 92. I was in high school during the Gruden-Gannon era. Its amazing how old that team was. Sucks about the tuck rule, Siragusa flop, and botched SB 11th hour game plan change. They should have won at least one sb in that 3 year span.
On the Derek Carr point I agree, none of us can deny there were games where we were screaming at him and ripping out hair, and games where we thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. He was put in a bad situation during his time here and was wildly inconsistent after 2016 as a player.Nonetheless, the one consistent thing about him is his class as a human. He’s a stand up and humble dude who always showed love for his team and Raider Nation. He truly cares about the Raiders, he said so himself countless times.Much respect to him. I watched 2 minutes and I believe they moved on for a few facts, everyone knows that running backs are replaceable and cost plays a factor, but he never caught the ball well out of the backfield, he does not make tacklers miss, and he took away from others in terms of team concept. Gotta agree about the facilities, Sangit. I did the stadium tour of Allegiant last week and there were parts of the stadium that looked like you could eat your dinner off the floor. It’s unbelievable. I also drove past the Practice facility in Henderson quite a few times in my visit and it looks (from the outside) just as nice as the stadium

There is a long list of former raiders and current, as well as future raiders to take pride in our culture, logo, emblem, and history. Once a Raider, Always a Raider, is not a choice for us the fans, but it surely is a choice, for the players to make. Josh made his choice to burn the bridge, then it will be up to him to rebuild it at some point, if he ever wants back in. We don't owe him anything. we gave all the love we possibly could.

Don't know if AP actually called Josh and told him he's the heartbeat of the team, but I've heard him say that a couple times while talking with the media and I agreed with him, I seen many Raider fans who said to let him walk because he's too expensive so to me that's who Jacobs is giving the bird to, he should of just singled out his beef is with those one's, not all Raider Nation, but it is what it is, always liked that he spoke up and said what needed to be said, but he's on a hate type trip and should of at least shouted out his day one Oakland fans who rocked with him even till this day. On the Derek Carr point I agree, none of us can deny there were games where we were screaming at him and ripping out hair, and games where we thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. He was put in a bad situation during his time here and was wildly inconsistent after 2016 as a player.Nonetheless, the one consistent thing about him is his class as a human. He’s a stand up and humble dude who always showed love for his team and Raider Nation. He truly cares about the Raiders, he said so himself countless times.Much respect to him. Although it was time to move on from him, he’ll always be a raider in my eyes, and he’ll say the same thing. No respect for Josh Jacobs, he’s in the Randy Moss and Antonio Brown category for me now

Jacobs off field irresponsible drunk driving twice busted didn't help. Then he holds out. That was what sealed his boot out the door. Nobody to blame but himself. Like DeVante was going to follow him back to GB. With an emoji? Jacobs has some emotional damage. Best thing to get rid of him and his negative energy.
I watched 2 minutes and I believe they moved on for a few facts, everyone knows that running backs are replaceable and cost plays a factor, but he never caught the ball well out of the backfield, he does not make tacklers miss, and he took away from others in terms of team concept. Not saying he isn't a great back and not a good teammate, but not the right fit going forward. Done, that is easy.

This is the reality of the jacobs situation. The raiders clearly didn't want to pay 1 RB they want to use a committee of RBs and they took the money they could have spent on Jacobs and signed garner Menshew with that money. So we have a full RB room STILL with another QB who ISNT an OLD WASHED UP BUM with the money we could have spent on Jacobs. Jacobs got the deal he was looking for BOTH PARTIES got what they wanted out of the situation.

Gotta agree about the facilities, Sangit. I did the stadium tour of Allegiant last week and there were parts of the stadium that looked like you could eat your dinner off the floor. It’s unbelievable. I also drove past the Practice facility in Henderson quite a few times in my visit and it looks (from the outside) just as nice as the stadium
One thing about the Raiders is, it’s not just football. There are fans from coast to coast. I been to foreign countries and see the shield blasted everywhere. I’m a RAIDER fan, old school, damn near in my blood line. Once you start dissing the shield and the nation it’s a wrap. I suspect Josh Jacobs may have some kind of a mood disorder, but frankly, I don't care. The Shield is more important than any individual player. There is a long list of former raiders and current, as well as future raiders to take pride in our culture, logo, emblem, and history. Once a Raider, Always a Raider, is not a choice for us the fans, but it surely is a choice, for the players to make. Josh made his choice to burn the bridge, then it will be up to him to rebuild it at some point, if he ever wants back in. We don't owe him anything. we gave all the love we possibly could.
