These lessons are super cool man. Never saw topics like this that can go from simple to complex in so little time and so well explained.

I'm so glad you're back delivering great content as usual.
Three years ago, when my daughter was born, I used to watch your videos at 3 or 5 am while feeding her and it was so helpful. I still take advantage of many of those concepts when writing music. Thanks Jeff!

Great tutorial. I think the interesting thing you’re doing is constructing the reharms off the leading tones of the melody. You can literally see the melody notes being played if you just focus on the top-most keys on the virtual keyboard. Little twist towards the end, but a deceptively “simple” approach that sounds and looks complex and rich. Thanks for the great content and inspiring teaching.

I am an enthusiastic amateur musician and I always toyed with this concept of harmonization…until you came along and demonstrated it live! Now I know I wasn’t crazy! Thank you and I will be purchasing your book and any other material on offer. You have truly made my day.

It's really great to have you, who have a system and method and language to teach these styles and sounds, instead of "that feels good, that feels good, just play what you hear" and throw in a bunch of complicated runs and sum up with a laughter. They may play very very well but their "lessons" don't worthsh it.

Jeff, this sounds very good, but my question is, #1 I'm a jazz alto sax player, how do I improvise over this? #2 I'm an unschooled singer with a great ear who is hired to sing harmony behind the lead singer. What do I sing?

So can you reharmonize by using other concepts, like doing a 2-5 (F to C) and then go down one chromatically (E) and then do a 2-5 (E to A), etc.? Can you also do things like reharmonize by outlining a minor 7 chord (F to Aflat to C to Eflat)?

As a young guitar player I read Steve Vai say he re-harmonized things like the Star Spangled Banner b4 joining Zappa. I never had a clue how to do that. But Watching the formula and a few other videos of yours, it's making sense. But I have so many questions. I got lost a couple times... as per your choices. Does this work in a simplified way also... to harness it for Pop leaning music? Thanks! Would love/need a 2 hour consultation with you.

A Small Request Jeff from myself Joshua Daniel all the way from India... Please do teach us about the context in detail about the functionality of jazz in a better way... Much more slower with some examples.and stuffs...I didn't get your context in your previous video regarding Row Row Row a boat ... That song. In the Key of Fmajor... My querie for you is that it would be better if you teach us how those jazz chords and functionalities work together Appropriately .... Thank you Jeff ..

No particular rule imo. 'If it sounds good to your ears, stick with it' is what i've been telling myself when it comes to reharmonizations.

Please, just one question. How do you go about forming or finding the chords that go along with the melody? Because, if we follow your logic, we could lay down simple chords following the chromatic bassline. I would like to understand, please.
