I can easily say all these new designs out of Adidas, Nike, Croc, and few others are directly inspired by Yeezy! Thanks to Ye’s designs everyone is eating off of it!
To me, part of the appeal of crocs is that if they get muddy or something you can just rinse them off. The holes let mud and dirt rinse out from the inside. These don't seem to have those holes. They do look nice though and maybe other people don't get theirs as dirty.
