Lyle was the toughest, meanest and most intimidating player of all time. I realize after watching this (10-20-2023)and seeing his gravestone, he would be 74 years old today if he was alive now, but only lived to be 43. RIP Mr Alzado. ✝️

Hey Lyle played Football during the best times of the sport. He was one of many outstanding players during the time. Later Lyle opened up about his steroid use and spoke out telling young people it was wrong. R.I.P Lyle Alzado
Of all the great defensive lineman of the game to chose for my team I would take Alzado as one of the 4 . Yes the other 3 can be Page , joe Green. Deacon Jones or any others but Lyle will bring the hate and fear . Steroids yes , but at that time they were not illegal . Many players used them . He was not cheating. He was also a very giving person off the field . I love Lyle Alzado
A sad complex from very dark origins. A lesson for those he left behind. Surround and exhaust was probably the best thing to keep his problems managed.
YES.., Lyle was the Best in my book.! He'll tell you straight in your face. How he really felt about you and your friggin family.! Yep.! ( He was Broken and beaton BUT, NOT DEFEATED.!) HE WAS TUFF AND STRONG 💪👊. The Darff Vaider of the Ockland Raiders...!😎👊💪🏆 YES.!
Lyle was on steroids since he was 14yrs old. I'm sure that contributed to his rage and his aggression. Lets not say he was a God..he was more of a self-created monster. Once the drugs made him sick, he came clean that it was all a show. I have more respect for what he did after his career.
Slymmfish PeoplesChamp steroids wasn’t illegal during 80% of his career , god no the man , the hero we needed, wanted and wanted to be like. Humanitarian outside of the game, you never hear of him drunk, on drugs, in bars fighting he left it on the field He was the man . Period
He started them in 1969, that means he would've been 20. A lot of his rage came from his abusive childhood. His father used to beat him and his mother and then left. He had to help his mother pay the bills while he was still in high school. So the rage was already there, but the steroids probably amplified it × 10!!
@@jameskelly8785 I did not say he was Portuguese Jim, I wasn't sure and was speculating, I thought Italian but his name kind of sounded Portuguese to me. Anyway ,he was truly awesome.

Lyle was clearly not afraid to live. Refreshing to see this in a world full of people afraid to die.
Imagine being shunned for being honest. That’s pathetic
