  • OUCH! OUCH! I got attacked and stung by bees! One a little brush cutting job and I went to set up the GoPro and the bees attacked me! I got stung twice, once on both shoulders LOL! But we got the job done but the bees got the best of me for sure! Go to the 11:18 mark to see me get attacked!

I laugh because I've been down that road before: disturbing a hornets nest while weed-eating. But no enclosed cab to retreat to. Makes me rethink the benefits of an enclosed cab when making my next purchase.

I hope your ok. ALWAYS keep Benedryl spray with you for when that happens. Spray it on the bite and it takes the pain away immediately plus it keeps it from swelling anymore.

Haha , brings back memories of when I'd do bush hogging with my Ford tractor on my acreage.... many times I've had to leave the tractor and "run".... lucky enough to have never been stung , they would attack the running machine lol.... hit a few huge ant hills too and that's no fun .. had a rabbit jump into my lap once , scared the crap out of me. Although I do miss cutting horse trails and keeping pastures down, I no longer have my tractor. You do a great job and your lucky you have a "cab" to get into when nature attacks lol

Excellent job! That really cuts everything up to ground level and looks really nice! Sorry you got stung! My two young grandsons and I were picking blueberries and we started getting stung and my 8 year old grandson pushed along my 4 year old grandson to get him out of there and back to the house. The youngest only got stung once but my other grandson got stung 13 times! I got stung twice and it kept stinging for over an hour, like I was getting stung repeatedly! No stingers, not much swelling! The next day we had to take my grandson to his doctor because his one eye was swollen shut and that side of his face was swollen! He had to get a shot, etc. We had given him benadryl when he got stung, if we hadn't he probably would have been alot worse the next day! Enjoy your videos! Keep up the fantastic work, without the bees of course! Take care and God Bless!

Man, getting stung sucks. I was clearing some Rhododendron thicket last fall, in the mountains of western North Carolina. I put my boot into a pocket hive of big yellow hornets. They got me good. I had a chainsaw running, had my helmet with the face screen and ear muffs on. The ear muffs saved my ears, the full length snake chaps saved my legs but the hornets got under the face screen and on my face. Buddy, I looked like a shaved camel in about an hour. my face was all swollen. I took Benadryl and used epsom salt as a poltice. in two days, I was back at it. Those hornets were actually gripping my lip as they stung. I went back that week to kill em...I was pleased to see that a bear had dug out the nest and eaten all their young. I owe that bear a beer one day. : ) I like your rig, good job on the video too. George.

Their home was between the chairs and when I looked down they were swarming. That was painful! I could barely walk the first 5 minutes. Third time was briefly on the inside wrist by a wasp earlier this year when in a dark carport. Swelled up like a golf ball later that night. I got it to go down with poultices though. He is also not making a million dollar a year off UA-cam like others in California we know so he has to budget his purchases accordingly. I believe everyone should follow people like this to get a sense of real world operator owner business is about.

When I was about 10, my grandpa and I used to get out the small hand held saws and the scythes and go clear space up when we needed to get it done. Even back then he carried some sort of wasp/hornet killer just in case he ever ran across a nest, like we all have. I've been stung and if it's more than a few I have to go to the hospital. You should carry some in your machine along with some bear spray in case an animal or dog try to attack you. It happens all the time and very few are prepared. You could have throttled your choke to make a lot of smoke around that nest to drive backwards and see where they were coming from. It looked like an old fence or pallets were laying on that back fence. A perfect nest and hiding place for stuff.

You want both the foaming type of wasp and hornet spray along with a fogger type. Foaming is for when you can see the hive/opening they are coming from and the fogger is for when you have a swarm already in the air around you. Along with a can of bug spray to spray legs before you walk around when setting up cameras for the ticks and other biters.
A can of a bright color spray paint can also be useful to carry on you to spray things like posts and other objects you don't want to hit in the future as long as you check with the customer before hand or add it into the contract that you can paint hazard objects. A can of high reflective clear and an eyes stencil can also be fun when you want to play practical jokes on people by having eyes show up when they shine a flashlight into an area and vanish when they move the light.

Wasps got you. They aren’t bees. Wasps are super aggressive, and bees are gentle.
