- Here I am walking in Düsseldorf, Germany, in the city centre through all major Christmas Markets on a night in November 2021. Our walk goes from the KÖ Bogen II area to the Schadowstraße Shopping street and then to the old town and Rhine river promenade. Enjoy spectacular Christmas lights in the city during this tour with many handmade goods & delicious foods to be seen. Düsseldorf’s Christmas Market is known for its seven unique themed areas, which are all scattered around the city and decorated in different ways. You will be astonished by the imaginative designs of the stalls and the huge variety of goods on display. While its markets aren’t as famous as its nearby counterparts in Cologne, a visit to Düsseldorf for Christmas can be a lot of fun, especially when bundled with all the wonderful shopping opportunities in the city. Düsseldorf is the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous state of Germany. It is the second-largest city in the state and the seventh-largest city in Germany, with a population of around 620,000. Enjoy this 4K HDR video walk recorded with binaural audio. As a British person living and working in Düsseldorf this Christmas is 'Pure Hell'! My partner and I can not go to any Christmas Markets or shops because of the German 2G Covid rules. We recovered from covid, but more than 180 days ago, and so do not fill the 2G criteria. We tried to get a vaccination, but for some reason it seems impossible for British people until next year. This Christmas is the worst we have ever experienced!

Are you sure? Have you tried the vaccination Center behind the main station? You don t need an appointement. And as far as I know, you can go as long as you pay into a health insurance and you live or work in Germany. I would try, they are open on thursdays until ten o clock. Good luck.
@@susaschweder6685 Thanks for the advice, Susa. My UK private insurance card is not accepted for vaccinations, apparently. A week ago when cycling the Ruhr Valley my pedal failed and I needed to get a train from Hattingen to Düsseldorf, about 35kms. They wouldn't even allow me to have a test in order to use the train, so I chanced it and rode back home with a dodgy pedal very slowly, arriving frozen at around 9pm! Hideous rules in Germany....

Schöne Bilder, aber die Stadt ist auch schon relativ am Ende, wenn man weiß wie es in den 1980er bis in die 1990er Jahren dort war. Die meiste Infrastruktur stammt ja heute noch aus dieser Zeit.
Ist es ein Wunder, wenn in der BRD Politiker vorsätzlich das Land in den Sand setzen...?

I‘m not German, neither do I have German ancestors. I don’t even have a German address or a German passport😂 So I don’t think you mean my government 😅 But I can speak the language, as well as 6 others, and even wrote my doctors thesis in German (and in English, Japanese, Indonesian, Chinese)!
