Actually, 1 is probably a lil wrong, mostly due to the fact William was Springlocked twice in most continuities, which means part of his soul is in the suit, yes. Not at all like how Ferret says it though. It just left a piece of him behind is all. At least that's what he says in TSE.

The idea is to try every possibility to search for the truth. Leave no stone unturned. I've been chasing down these leads for a decade and felt people needed to be aware there were alternatives to saying FNAF didn't make sense. @BlackfootFerret cool I liked the part where willam is just watched by the kids he trapped in these beast we call robots and he gets spriglocked I also thing your theory on jekyll and hyde is close to a theory I've had for a while why willam seems to be 2 people in 1 it's creepy.
Here's a theory. William and his wife are confirmed to have been divorced and that William cheated his way of custody of Elizabeth (Michael Afton's sister) so it's likely that Mike's father we see is actually his step father and William got custody of his daughter. It lines up with Mike and Vanessa being about the same age, William’s reaction to knowing Mike's full name and him knowing about Mike's brother.

I know I went overboard. But I've been listening to MatPat say FNAF doesn't make sense for about 10 years now. I wanted to highlight how important it might be. I should have just stopped by saying William had the condition.
I know a few people with DID also. The possibility that FNAF is trying to make a constructive statement about it is something theorists should be aware of.
@@BlackfootFerret They are. Literally Matpat's first theory was this was an allegory for 5 real murders. Also he retired. That person who made that super popular theory 3 weeks ago is the new kingmaker. You need to talk to need.
9:48 "Scott designed the *Save Them* Attacker's sprite to be the perfect opposite of William's in Save Them" You said Save Them twice. Did you mean to say Take Cake attacker?
There's no black and white villain in FNAF, just a lot of kids who got hurt, and turned into monsters because of it. It started with Kid William way back in England. Then William punished his eldest son Henry without just cause, and granted the star role of Freddy to his younger son Michael, prompting Henry to create Fredbear as a 'superior' character to Freddy, the role he wanted. Michael/Freddy locked Henry's daughter Charlie out of the Take Cake restaurant, so Henry made sure to poison the reputation of the place and carried off part of Charlie's soul to make sure she became a robot that day, unknowingly splitting her soul into two opposite pieces. Henry left the family-friendly small business to create the greedy corporation Fazbear Entertainment, who then steamrolled back into town and bought out his father William's still-struggling business. Henry's company started to rewire William's robots into soul-harvesting monsters, inadvertently claiming William's daughter Elizabeth as their first victim. William got back at Henry on June 26th, when he stuffed both of Henry's kids into the golden suits in revenge for what Henry's company did to Elizabeth. The 2 new Shadows then killed 5 and 6 kids in two more incidents, attempting to frame William for these additional murders to get revenge on *him*. Etc, etc. The overarching point is revenge doesn't solve anything: It's an ever-growing whirlwind of destruction that won't stop until it's destroyed everything. And some monsters were once innocent people who got hurt by another monster, leaving them broken. Charlie got betrayed by 3 other family members before she finally lost it and went full Shadow Freddy. FNAF highlights how important it is to *understand people* before you judge them.
@@BlackfootFerret To me Henry seems like the most genuinely evil character in the story. He killed his own children, turned William's robots into monsters, was the indirect cause for Elizabeth's death, etc. All William did was stuff their bodies into the suits, but got the blame for what Henry did. Henry is the one who ultimately suffers at the end of it in Ultimate Custom Night, doesn't he? Charlie is the main antagonist for most of the games, but Henry is clearly the bigger bad.
Scott hasn't had full control over the series since UCN and Security Breach was the last game made with his help before he retired. He has little to do with Ruin or upcoming projects
That's something I'm still figuring out. Charlie's Trilogy definitely seems to be a hard mirror universe. But the Fazbear Fright and Pizzaplex books seem more about retelling events from the game's story in an allegorical fashion, at least as far as I'm able to see.
@@at_witts_end3470 I don't have answers for everything, but the Giant Endo from Ruin does better establish that these robots are actually eating people, instead of just screaming at their faces until they explode.

@@BlackfootFerret I mean seriously, like no bullshitting legitimately satire removed, is this all just a big elaborate funny joke, like a parody of ancient fnaf theories if so it's really funny, but if not then this is genuinely worrying
Not to hate on your theories, I think you ARE onto something with the Springlock Suits not being made to save money like most think and that the FNaF 2 Night 1 Tape is from a different point in time then the other Tapes Phone Guy makes, but if you looked at William Afton's Character Encyclopedia Page, you'd see the following information: 1. William Afton is Scraptrap, ALL the images on his page are of Scraptrap, furthermore Scraptrap is called "Afton" by the Credits for FFPS and UCN 2. William Afton murders kids in the FNaF 2 Minigames, that's the exact wording the Character Encyclopedia uses, and yet in your theories not only does Afton not commit TCttC Murder, but he ALSO doesn't commit the MCI and SAVETHEM murders, so that creates a problem. Character Encyclopedia states Afton HAS to murder multiple people (kids PLURAL, not Singular) meaning he either did SAVETHEM or the MCI, so pick your poison, either remove your Fun with Plushtrap Explanation and have William do the SAVETHEM, or not have Foxy have William Afton inside in Go Foxy Go so he can kill the MCI Kids. On a semi-unrelated note The Character Encyclopedia and the Ultimate Guide and the Freddy Files ALL call the "Magenta Man" the "Purple Guy" or the "Purple Man", implying him to be the same character as William Afton. On another note with your theories, we've seen actual Springlock Endos in the Anniversary Images where Scott removed the Spring Bonnie exterior and showed basically all of Afton's Corpse, and it doesn't share a model with Endo-01 OR Endo-02, I can't find the original source of the image but every video I've seen talk about the lead-up to FNaF 6 Includes this image so here's a link to the image on the wiki, if you compare you'll see it doesn't line up with either a Endo-01 or a Endo-02 and you can't say Scott lost the Endo models as the Phantoms contain a cast of both FNaF 1 and FNaF 2 Characters meaning he'd have both Endos on-hand to use freddy-fazbears-pizza.fandom.com/wiki/William_Afton/Gallery?file=Springtrap-6pbx8qny.jpg, unless you can find a excuse for the Withereds to have a different Springlock Endo to Spring-Bonnie I don't see how Withered Foxy is a Springlock Suit, sorry for the text walls
They all say "William Afton" because they all *are* William Afton.. or at least aspects of him. But those other versions also have names of their own, like Michael, Henry and Charlie. To understand the inner conflict within the family, we need to track each one of these shards of William separately.

I want to say the 80's? it's been a hot minute, I apologize for my lack of surety on this one. but anyway, the spike in diagnosis is closely correlated with the commonality of representation in media at the time. similar to how in the early 2000's heaps of women were diagnosed with eating disorders. it's a combination of social phenomena (one of the few times those damn sociologists get a single thing right) and convenience in diagnosis that makes the figure so high, and indeed that even allows it to exist and be misinterpreted
legend states of a theory so bizarre, one look at it could drive a man to madness. this is that theory. many have tried to brave through its odd assumptions, and they too have gone insane. I warn you all, turn back now while you still can.
Oh, I already went nuts earlier trying to solve FNAF. I took the curse off it. Now people can reap the benefits of my frenzied research without having to do all the head-holding and squeaking like chipmunks.

Interesting.

Thank you. This is my best attempt at guessing what FNAF is ultimately trying to say.
As someone who knows people with DID, this is way out of line. Diagnosing real people based on their work is MASSIVE yikes territory.
Step back on that
I know I went overboard.
9:48 "Scott designed the *Save Them* Attacker's sprite to be the perfect opposite of William's in Save Them"
You said Save Them twice. Did you mean to say Take Cake attacker?
Erf, good catch. Yes, I meant to say "Scott designed the Take Cake Attacker's sprite to be the perfect opposite of William's in Save Them."
Who even is the main villain of your timeline? Henry, Shadow Freddy, or William?
@@BlackfootFerretwhat about The Mimic?
Scott hasn't had full control over the series since UCN and Security Breach was the last game made with his help before he retired. He has little to do with Ruin or upcoming projects
is this bait?
No, it’s not bait. It’s my attempt to make sense of everything.
wait. are Fazbear Frights and Tales From The Pizzaplex Mirror Universe like the charlie novel Trilogy in your interpretation of the fnaf lore ?
That's something I'm still figuring out.
Charlie's Trilogy definitely seems to be a hard mirror universe.
But the Fazbear Fright and Pizzaplex books seem more about retelling events from the game's story in an allegorical fashion, at least as far as I'm able to see.
@@BlackfootFerretSo who's the giant killer endo from Ruin then? Is Lamar Afton possessing the Mimic?
@@at_witts_end3470 I don't have answers for everything, but the Giant Endo from Ruin does better establish that these robots are actually eating people, instead of just screaming at their faces until they explode.

Not to hate on your theories, I think you ARE onto something with the Springlock Suits not being made to save money like most think and that the FNaF 2 Night 1 Tape is from a different point in time then the other Tapes Phone Guy makes, but if you looked at William Afton's Character Encyclopedia Page, you'd see the following information:
1. William Afton is Scraptrap, ALL the images on his page are of Scraptrap, furthermore Scraptrap is called "Afton" by the Credits for FFPS and UCN
To understand the inner conflict within the family, we need to track each one of these shards of William separately.

ok but how about the neutral williams. You know, characters like the mimic or the variants of baby or the sister location animatronics as a whole, in a way they do the same things as william but aren't necessary a william afton variant, i think we should call them the neutral willians.
